The song starts by declaring God's greatness and invites you to constantly praise His greatness. In other words, worship isn't something that you do when you're in the right mood. Praising God is continuous, almost like a habit / a mindset. It's looking at the world, your life, and seeing God's greatness in everything.  The lyrics don't ignore the grey seasons in life… It walks us straight through them to His greatness.
