WHAT MOTIVATES US

We are driven by a deep passion to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of music. Inspired by the lyrics of MercyMe's 2001 release, "Word of God Speak," which describes our intense feelings:

"I'm finding myself at a loss for words, and the funny thing is it's okay.
The last thing I need is to be heard, but to hear what You would say ..."

With all of the hustle and bustle of daily life and the many distractions that shout for our attention, it can be a challenge to hear God's voice. That's where we see the power of Christian music. Christian music has the ability to transcend the noise and create an environment where His message can be heard clearly.

"... I'm finding myself in the midst of You, beyond the music, beyond the noise.
All that I need is to be with You... and in the quiet hear Your voice. ..."

We are passionate about finding newly released music and deep diving into the stories behind some of these songs. While our intention is to support artists by playlisting their music and writing about some of their songs, the truth is that by helping artists, we are also blessed. Through these songs, artists are sharing their testimonies of God's glory and the open door that is there for each one of us. These testimonies shape us, help us to stay focused, and fill us with a desire:

"... to be still and know that You're in this place.
Please let me stay and rest in Your holiness. ..."

We trust in His guidance, knowing that He is beside us with every step we take, and every stumble and fall. We are tempted to quickly fill the silence, but as we grow, we also find the courage to admit...

"... I'm finding myself at a loss for words, and the funny thing is, it's okay!"

Join us on this journey, as we bring you music that speaks to the heart, provides comfort in times of need, and inspires us to grow our relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our beliefs are simple. We believe that Christ is the Son of God. We believe that He died for our sins and rose again. Although we cannot see or touch him, Jesus remains alive today, just as He was on the first Easter morning. We call Jesus “Lord” because He has saved us from the power of death and the power of sin and because, through His sacrifice, we can know the fullness of God’s love for us.

Likewise, we believe Jesus will return to the earth one day to complete what He started by creating a world in which peace, justice, and love rule. Such an event is viewed with joyful anticipation by those who believe in Christ. In Jesus, we learned that even death could not stop God's plan and activity, so no matter what happens, we will always have hope in life.

We also believe that "DANCE" is a Biblical form of worship. David danced for the Lord, as seen in the Psalms. This is where we found the inspiration for the name we use: "ChristianDance". We believe that the Lord takes pleasure in our dancing and singing. That's why we want to help make Christian music more accessible. Our faith is firmly grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we believe that the Bible is the Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, inspired, infallible, and unchangeable from Genesis to Revelation (2 Timothy 3:16).

We believe in one church, expressed through local bodies of God’s family, made up of all who are in Christ, and who together are commissioned to make Christ followers of all nations.

It's fine if you don't agree with us or believe the same things we do. The only thing we ask is respect for our Christian faith and way of life. Whatever your beliefs, YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!

"Paper Lantern Heart" by MK Green: When God Lights a Fire You Can't Contain

What happens when God lights a fire in you?  Some fires refuse to stay hidden. MK Green wrote “Paper Lantern Heart” around that exact truth, inspired by Jeremiah 20:9, where the prophet admits that he tried to stop preaching but simply couldn’t. The Word burned inside him “like a fire shut up in my bones.” Green’s lyrics echo that same struggle: “Behind the bones inside my chest there burns a paper heart.” Cold turns to burning. Silence turns to song. “I was cold as stone until You lit a spark,” the chorus declares, and something about that image sticks with you long after the music fades.  Here’s the question worth pondering: What do you do when God ignites something in you that won’t stay quiet?  Jeremiah tried holding it in, and that exhausted him. “There is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot” (Jeremiah 20:9). That weariness sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Maybe you’ve felt the nudge to speak up, ...

"Set Free" by Kristin Ambuhl: Naming Your Real Enemy

What battle are you really fighting today?   Some enemies wear a smile. Kristin Ambuhl calls this out in her song “Set Free”. The song calls these enemies a “favorite shadow” who’s “throwin’ words like daggers” while “hiding behind your laughter.” This is much more than a person who is being difficult. Kristin wrote this song about the daily spiritual battles we face as believers — battles found in arrogant people, dark influences, and forces that work to pull us away from who God made us to be. Whether it’s small fights or big ones, she’s naming them all.  The song doesn’t stay stuck in the shadows. Kristin declares, “I’ve been set apart, I’ve been set free, from my enemies, against dark powers, rulers, and authorities.” Part of that line echoes Ephesians 6:12: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” W...

"Come Alive" by Joel Lane: Finding Life Where Emptiness Used to Live

What if nothing you chase can truly fill the emptiness?  Emptiness has a way of following you around, no matter how fast you run. You chase a feeling (or things you believe will get you higher up “the ladder”), land on it for a moment, and then watch it slip through your fingers again. Joel Lane captures that feeling of restlessness in the opening lines of his song “Come Alive”: “Emptiness, chasing a feeling, trying to fill the void inside.” Sound familiar? Most of us have spent years searching for a purpose that felt just out of our reach.  Joel sings about how something happened that put everything in a different perspective. “You opened my eyes, now I see the light, I’m never going back.” That’s not a small statement. That’s a complete change of direction, a different way of living, a change the kind that can only happen when God steps into the picture.  The apostle Paul writes about this change of direction in Ephesians: “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the...
