Can today’s faithfulness cover tomorrow’s fears?  As Gresha Schuilling watches birds flying above her, she asks herself why she spends so much energy worrying about things that her Father in Heaven already handles. That’s the theme behind her song “Seek First.” The lyrics look at the birds who “don’t fill their barns with plenty” yet eat every single day, and the lilies that never lift a finger toward their own beauty. Children aren’t a burden — they’re a gift. “Arrows (Psalm 127)” by Matt Rees is a simple family-centered message about trusting God to guide you as you build your home. Matt picked up an acoustic guitar and let Psalm 127 speak for itself — warm, simple, family-centered. No embellishment needed. The words carry their own weight. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,” the song opens. “The fruit of the womb is a reward.” This line (quoting Psalm 127:3) points out that children are a “gift/reward from God,” and shouldn’t be confused with “wages you’ve earned” or “proof of divine favor you possess.” This scripture isn’t making a claim about the worth, status, or blessedness of people who don’t have children. Those are two different statements, and a lot of painful misreading happens when the second gets smuggled in under the first. The song focuses on our devotion and adoration to our God. The lyrics are simple but deep in expression. Reminding us that to worship God is a lifelong commitment, and we should always give our gratitude and faithfulness to our loving God. The song shares a message that is similar to Psalm 34:1 —  “I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Chrystal came up with the song from her own personal experiences where she wants to praise God even in her most difficult times. This shows us that praising God isn’t just when things are going our way, but even in the most trying times; our devotion and faithfulness to him must remain constant. It explores our desperation and longing to find divine comfort. Marija presents a vulnerable narrative of someone seeking God’s guidance during a period of intense personal struggle. And the beauty of it can be found in the scripture from 1 John 5:14–15 —  “This is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.” We are assured that our prayers won’t fall on deaf ears. The lyrics (0:08–0:32) of the song present a moment of raw honesty, where Marija admits being overwhelmed by life’s challenges, finding them akin to the “long” and “high” tides that are just too difficult to overcome. Mourning turns to dancing when the Son sets you free Picture a room full of teenagers at summer camp, voices rising together, singing about freedom they’ve actually experienced. That’s the heartbeat behind Red Letter Society’s latest release, “Free Indeed.” Written by Will Ellis and Jordan West, this song aims to remind young believers — and honestly, all believers — that “who the Son sets free is free indeed.” The lyrics don’t tiptoe around the message. “The cross changed everything,” the song declares. “All our sins now forgiven, the old has passed away.” If you let that sink in for a moment, you’ll realize that this is a complete rewrite of your identity. He “turns mourning into dancing, trading sorrows for joy.” This means that whatever sorrow you’re carrying around right now, God knows how to turn that around! Anxiety says you’re alone. What if that’s a lie? Racing thoughts at 2 a.m. feel like they’ll never quiet down. Ash Wiseman knows that spiral well — she wrote “I Know a Man” while wrestling with anxiety, that sense of carrying “the weight of the world” with nowhere to set it down.
