theCurrent released the song "Take Me Back (Summer Vibes)"

Worship is their passion and is the starting point from which everything began. Having all been a part of worship teams growing up, whether it was playing instruments, singing, or eventually writing songs, the members of theCurrent decided worship was a passion they could not keep to themselves.

In 2014, TheCurrent was formed. Their home church, City Blessing Church, had been given many words declaring that a "new sound" would be birthed from their church body. They had just been going through a season of endless song writing and a true awakening of their love not only for music, but for encountering God's presence. Through much prayer and guidance, they believed it was time to take their passion and gifts to a new level, and thus formed TheCurrent.

A current, in relation to water and air, is a force that moves in a definite direction. The mission is to move the presence of God through the talents and abilities that He has given us so others can encounter Jesus. Worship goes beyond the music. It is a lifestyle of sharing and encountering the love of Christ.

theCurrent is currently working on their first album. They are constantly humbled by the vision God has called us to and are so expectant for the journey that lies ahead.

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"Oceans (Hillsong Cover)" by Tiffany Ford - Stepping into the Unknown with Faith

Life can at times feel like a stormy sea! Do you recognize that feeling? Tiffany Ford does, and Oceans by Hillsong is one of her 'go-to' songs for those rough times in life. She released a beautiful cover of Oceans, and shared how faith became her anchor when her life seemed so overwhelming. "Seemed" is the key word here, because in her moments of doubt and fear she discovered that God was meeting her exactly where she stood — by her side as she stood on shaky ground or in deep waters.  Oceans is a favorite for many readers, a song that describes the tension we feel between trust and uncertainty: "You call me out upon the waters / The great unknown where feet may fail." It's a beautiful invitation to step out of your comfort zone, even when it feels quite risky. With this cover, Tiffany is reminding us (and herself) that He is there when we get of our comfort zone. We can count on Him being there to guide us —  "Your sovereign hand will be my guide...

Riley Clemmons - Stuck Inside My Head - Single Mix (CCM)

Riley Clemmons has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Stuck Inside My Head - Single Mix. The song 'Inside My Head' was born out of a season of pain and healing. As a result, the song has a way of speaking about life's difficulties that is accessible and relatable to everyone.  "As I was writing and dreaming up this record, "says Riley, "there was never a plan to create anything but honest music, born from hurting, growing, and healing. I collected songs for this body of work much like I collected every experience I found myself in the middle of over the past couple of years... the highs & lows, the conversations with God, the questions about my identity, the heartbreak, and the healing." Although the music addresses life's hurts, it does much more than that. The trials of life, according to Clemmons, are ordained by God so we can draw close to him. "The thread that began to connect them all quickly became the idea tha...
