Samuel Day - Meant to Be (CEDM)

Samuel Day - Meant to Be
Samuel Day has released a Christian EDM (CEDM) track called Meant to Be.

Samuel writes: "I was thinking about how none of us are every going to make everyone happy. Jesus is perfect, and some people still wanted to murder him. Who God has called me to be isn't going to be liked by everyone - and I'm finally ok with that. I won't apologize for who I'm meant to be."

This song was co-produced by Jacob Stanifer, and mastered by Mike Cervantes of The Foxboro (For King & Country, Skillet, and more)

Lyrics:

And I know what's worth fighting for
When the world comes down to beating at the door
And I will be constant 'cause faith has to stand
In order to see the life we've put on demand

And I won't apologize for who I'm meant to be

And the world is offended, but that isn't new
Want you to be a reaction and not find out the truth
And every day there's an injustice to fight
I respect your passion, but it don't mean you're right

You should know that I love you, and that will never change
And that's why my mission is to unlock these chains
And you have a choice now to live and be free
Or move right along now, but you know where I'll be

"When I Saw The Light" by Tyler Philip Ratcliffe: Folk, Grace, and the Moment Everything Changes

“When I Saw The Light” captures something painfully familiar — the trap that routine can bring. Tyler Philip Ratcliffe wrote this folk anthem as a follow-up to “This Little Light of Mine,” drawing on his bluegrass roots and the spirit of Bill Monroe’s classic to tell a story many will recognize in themselves. The verses don’t sugarcoat it. “Same faces, same mistakes, same places // Promise that I change it all tomorrow”  — the trap we need to be aware of… The routine masquerading as life. But Ratcliffe doesn’t leave the listener there. The chorus lifts everything: “I traded fake for something honest // Finally doing something right.” That’s the turning point! What makes this song land is its honesty about the moment before a breakthrough. When numbness sets in, when you’ve exhausted every other option — that’s when the light (His light) breaks through. Ratcliffe captures the surprise of grace: “I wasn’t looking for religion // Wasn’t searching for the truth.” Nobody ever is. And ye...
