Suterville - You Know (CCM)

Suterville's CCM song, 'You Know,' draws inspiration from the biblical story of Ezekiel and the Valley of Dry Bones, where Ezekiel could only trust in God's knowledge and sovereignty, saying, 'Lord, You know.' The song beautifully expresses the struggles and uncertainties of life, acknowledging that there are times when we don't have all the answers and can't comprehend the reasons for pain, suffering, and change.

Suterville - You KnowThe lyrics speak of facing hard times, plans falling apart, and the pain of seeing good people suffer. In the midst of the confusion and darkness, the singer finds solace in knowing that God knows all things and has a perfect plan, even when it's hard to understand.

The chorus powerfully reiterates the affirmation of God's omniscience, saying, 'You know, yes Lord you know.' It becomes a declaration of trust and surrender, acknowledging that God is in control even when circumstances seem overwhelming and beyond our comprehension.

The bridge brings a sense of revelation and comfort, as the singer realizes that God's hand is always at work, even in the midst of challenges. This understanding leads to the assurance that 'all along, I was just fine,' acknowledging that God's knowledge and care are sufficient.

'You Know' is a song of deep faith, offering hope and strength to listeners facing uncertainties and trials. Its heartfelt lyrics and emotive melody create a powerful piece of Christian music that reminds us to trust in God's wisdom and providence, even in the midst of life's most challenging moments.

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. Dax lays it bare: "Trials and tribulations, all my past trauma," he acknowledges, along with "generational curses from daddy and mama," and the "addictions that clouded my eyes." The honesty about his past struggles makes the message of this song so relatable and powerful.  The chorus is about the moment that the script was flipped, "I'm half the man I used to be." Not a broken man, but a man who has been freed from the burdens that weren't his to carry and kept him from God. "I don't ever chase, I got God," declaring that his new identity is anchored in faith. It's a shrug and a testimo...

"Hiding Place (Live)" by DBU Chapel Worship: Forgiven, Covered, and Free

How often do you hear worship songs being sung live in the comforts of your day-to-day living? For sure, there are a dime a dozen. Some you commonly share with the person next to you, featuring songs by popular Christian Artists. But there's a certain form of unique sincerity when one discovers a worship song that is yet to break through to a larger audience. This is how the song "Hiding Place" by DBU Chapel Worship featuring Olivia-Grace McKern felt like when I first listened to the song. It felt like a new testimony being told, of one's dedication to find God and remain in his presence.  Taking root from Psalm 32, the song is a collaboration of Olivia with a host of songwriters from the DBU Chapel Worship. Enriching her experience as a songwriter and moving her through the songwriting process. In perhaps a reflection of what the song eventually became, it wasn't so that Olivia conveniently hid behind the DBU Chapel Worship songwriters/musicians. This song is a c...
