Marcus & Jalyn McGill's 'Deserted' – Have Faith and Patience, We're Never Deserted


"Deserted" by Marcus & Jalyn McGill is a beautiful single from their upcoming project "between barren & beautiful." This song uses poetic imagery of walking through a desert and compares this to our struggles as we wait on God's promises. Our struggles take us through feelings of hope and doubt, while all God asks from us is that we trust in His timing.

You see the confusion and frustration in the lines like: "But day turns to night, and I sit in the dark," and "I look to the stars, but it is so hard, to believe again."

The second half of the song shifts to God's response and how He urges us to see His faithfulness even in difficult times. "Don't miss the beauty of the stars" and "you're not deserted" reminding us that God's presence and love are a constant factor, never to be doubted, and He is encouraging us to surrender and trust in His plan.

Sometimes we feel as if we're deserted, but the fact is that God is with us every step of the way.

“Jesus Is His Name” by Aaron Goodhew is a song written as a Christ-centred declaration of who God is and what He has done.
