"All My Praise" by Crossroads Bigfork Worship: Worship Beyond Emotions


"All My Praise" by Crossroads Bigfork Worship is a song that emphasizes that worship should be an expression of our devotion to God in every circumstance and through every season of life. Written by Worship Pastor Ben Erickson from Montana, it's a response to a common struggle we all may feel during or after church services, where worship sometimes gets gets tied to emotions or preferences. "Worship isn't about the feeling," Erickson explains, "but about who Jesus is." That is one of the key messages that you immediately see in the lyrics: "It's not a feeling emotion // Or a space that I'm in // It's a reverence, a constant // Oh, I know who my God is." 

Crossroads Bigfork Worship - All My PraiseThe song's heartbeat is consistency. "In every single season // My heart will choose to give," and "Jesus, Redeemer, my strength and strong tower // The calm in the middle of the storm." Life will throw chaos on our path, and whatever happens, your praise should remain steadfast because of who He is. The chorus summarizes it all: "Here it is, here you go // All my praise is yours… Nothing else, no other name." 

The song is performed by intern Amy-Joy Jost, and carries a raw pure sincerity. It encourages us to lay down our lives at His feet - not because everything's perfect, but because He is perfect. If you've ever doubted or misunderstood what the purpose of worship is, may this song realign your heart to what true worship is. True worship isn't a mood; it's a choice… your choice.
