Carli shares, "One morning as I was trying to do my quiet time, my phone kept beeping with Whatsapp notifications of my kids' school groups, the church worship band group and social media notifications and I just felt so overwhelmed. I remember thinking, "I don't need more of this, I need a whole lot less". It felt like all these things were just taking me away from the important things - spending time with God and making space for my family."

"Scroll through my feed of latest trends // Keep buying and trying but I just end up spent" reflecting the emptiness and time we waste as we chase after fleeting pleasures.

Carli invites us to step away from the noise: "I'm switching off to connect // These feet will follow You instead // I'm stepping out of the noise // Taking the time to listen for Your voice." It's a call to let go of what doesn't really matter so we can say yes to what truly does. As Carli puts it, "I hope this song reminds people how easily we can become reactive to the world around us instead of finding our purpose and sense of direction from God."
