"Rise" by Kate Stanford: God's Promises Don't Expire

God’s promises don’t expire — are you still holding on to them?

Kate Stanford wrote “Rise” out of something most of us feel but rarely name — living in a world filtered through a screen. We’re living in the age of constantly evolving social media and technology culture, developments that can sow fear and create division.

Kate Stanford - Rise“I’ve been losing sleep from the weight of what I read, every headline breaking me.” Scrolling never stops. The noise never quiets. We’re lured into a world of more and more, causing us to forget the real world we live in. And somewhere between the breaking news and the biting words we can’t say out loud, fear finds a home. The song “Rise” doesn’t stop at this modern-day struggle. It points us back to hope in Jesus.

Kate anchors the song in something that the social media algorithms can’t touch or change… the unchanging, steadfast, and dependable nature of God’s love. “Your love is never changing, the dawn is always breaking.” Every morning the sun rises, not because the world earned it, but because God is faithful whether we are watching or not.

Lamentations 3:22–23 states this plainly: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” God’s love isn’t a feeling, it isn’t a circumstance — God is Love! When fear is living on your screen, and hope feels distant, remember that God’s mercy never changes. You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through the day. You don’t have to fight for peace that was already given to you.

So, drown out the noise, open your hands, and let your heart and mind be reawakened. Listen to “Rise” by Kate Stanford and let it remind you where your hope really lives. “The sun will always rise.” So together, we can too.

(Related scripture: Lamentations 3:22–23; Psalm 46:10; Romans 15:13)

Fighting With My Demons' by Joe Nester is a powerful Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) song that confronts a universal and challenging issue — the battle with inner demons. Nestled within the soothing melody and catchy rhythm are impactful lyrics conveying despair, struggle, and ultimate redemption. As the song begins, 'All my life, I’ve been battling with my demons,' listeners are instantly embraced with understanding, compassion, and know they are not alone in their struggles. The profound lyrics echo the pain of life's battles and the weariness they create, yet they’re also filled with hope. We are reminded that even while we are lost and conflicted, God's presence becomes our refuge. Are you a Christian music artist? Do you want to build a larger audience for your music? In this 5 part series, we will explain our music marketing strategy for exponentially expanding your fanbase. Today, in part 1, we focus on the foundation needed to build a larger audience/fanbase, where to focus, and your place in a bigger picture. Next week, in part 2, we will focus on your online hub, ways to attract more visitors to your online hub, and being more than a musician.   Why do some Christian artists have millions of monthly streams on the streaming platforms, while other great artists struggle to get more than a few thousand monthly streams? Many Christian Artists struggle to reach new listeners. Marketing music was never easy, but quite a few artists (and even agents/distributors) are not using all of the possibilities that are already available. What saddens me is that many Christian artists only scratch the surface of their music marketing possibilities. DIY-platforms, such...

Josephine Grace - Higher Than the Heavens (CCM)

Josephine Grace has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Higher Than the Heavens. Josephine shared her story behind this song:  Some songs come quickly, some come slowly. This one was definitely the latter! It was way back in 2011 when I made a home demo of the first version of this song - it was moodier with completely different chords, melody and lyrics - and then it sat on the shelf (or more literally, on an external hard drive full of archived files) until the back end of last year. I’ve done some studying online with Hillsong College this past year and a half and at some point I’d explored what being wholehearted towards God means. Bits of the old song (it was called ‘I Will’ at that point), written quite directly from Psalm 108, started coming back to me beginning with Psalm 108:1 (NIV) “My heart, O God, is steadfast”.  I followed the melody in my mind to the chorus based on Psalm 108:4 (NIV) “For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your fa...
