"yours." by HOMECOMING: Surrendering Your Plans for Something Better


Can you surrender what you can’t control? 

Prayers don’t need clear, beautiful, or powerful words to reach God. They need honesty. HOMECOMING wrote “yours.” from a place of complete surrender, and you can hear that throughout the song. The song moves through the waiting rooms filled with worries, our valleys of weakness, and the mountaintops of life alike, refusing to feed any misunderstandings that faith only shows up when life feels good. “In my weakness, I will know Your strength” — that’s more than words on a page… It’s a way of thinking, a decision made in real time, often through gritted teeth.

We see the same posture in Psalm 27:8: “You have said, ‘Seek my face.’ My heart says to you, ‘Your face, Lord, do I seek.’” David wrote this while his enemies were closing in on him, not after they’d retreated. He sought God’s face before the outcome was clear.

Lay down your agenda, look around, and watch what He builds instead. When you surrender, you’re not losing (or giving up) control; you’re trading a smaller story for a bigger one.

"Let It Rise - Live" by Hope Worship: When Surrender Becomes Worship

What if surrender opened the door to change?  Some songs ask nothing of you. “Let It Rise — Live” asks everything. Hope Worship wrote this song as a simple invitation that is meant to feel welcoming rather than complicated: ask the Holy Spirit to have His way in you. No hidden agenda, no complex theology lesson.
