Have you ever felt distant from both God and life? If so, then Freedom Heart's latest song, 'You're Still With Me' is especially for you. Lynn Chen wrote this song during a time when feeling numb and emotionless seemed to be the new normal. She couldn't go to Him or reach out to people. She felt emotionless. Can you relate that? Sometimes the walls we build to hide our pain, but those walls also keep out the love and comfort we desperately need.

It is especially during these times when God's promises seem to be the last thing that comes to mind: 'You said that you would never leave me, You won't forget me, You're still with me.' That is such a comforting truth! The lyrics invite you to lean on God's unwavering presence instead of our own understanding. 

There is freedom that comes from admitting: 'You're still freeing me, Though the pain is real, I am giving you control.' Giving God control is an important part of our healing process, and God's hand is always steady through it all. The bridge of the song, 'When I can't see your light, And all hope is out of sight, I am leaning on your Spirit in me,' particularly resonates with anyone who has looked to God for comfort during dark times.

"King Of All Nations" by Ezra Worship Initiative: Sing Today What Heaven Will Sing Forever

Your worship today echoes eternity. Ezra Worship Initiative trains young worship leaders through a ten-week, seminary-based internship. Their songwriters learn Scripture first and melody second. "No Other Name" by Joakim Arenius and Josef Tingbratt: Hope That Outlasts the Darkness

Darkness grips hard, but one name holds harder. Where do you turn when your strength runs out? Josef Tingbratt and Joakim Arenius wrote “No Other Name” for that moment. Their song follows a man who is “Restless weary and alone,” “So many miles from home.” Inner voices that treat him unkindly. Then a night raid brings brutal violence: “They tried to break his body down, but they could not break his crown.” Notice what he does when “darkness gets its grip.” He calls Jesus: “Jesus, Jesus hear my cry.” No fancy words, just a cry.
