Nanette Maxine - Sundays (CCM)

Nanette Maxine has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Sundays.

Nanette shares: "This song discusses the importance of a commitment to the house of the Lord. In a world full of confusion this song brings to listeners' attention the wonder of God's place of refuge. For centuries many have depended on the Lord's house as a place of renewal and strength and it is even more so today. To be in the presence of God is the beginning of wisdom, healing, and strength. This song is my weekly reminder that God is always the beginning of my week and the end of my week."

Lyrics:

Nanette Maxine - Sundays
Gotta go to church on Sunday morning yeah so I can worship
Worship I gotta worship
Sunday oh yeah
More of you is what I want and less of me
I desire to have a closer walk with thee
Just trying to get to know you better
So I can please you I want to know what you want from me
To be in your will Lord I have to spend some time with you
You mean everything and I
I been coming to see you at your house mostly on Sundays that's when I get
that special feeling in my heart that takes me through the weekdays
Sundays take me through the weekdays and I can't wait to see you again
Sundays
Where the truth is the light, you're the truth and you're the only way
Just can't get enough of your word and your spirit upon me
So fill my cup let it overflow in the house of the Lord fill me with your love
Every day, oh I think of you your love changes all that I do yeah
Still sometimes I wonder as the days go by everyday will I still have you in my heart
Late night on Friday
I can't wait for Sunday, Sunday that's when I like to fellowship with you yeah
I've been coming to see you at your house mostly on Sundays - Sunday morning
I get this special feeling in my heart that takes me through the weekdays
Sunday takes me through the weekdays, and I can't wait to see you again Sunday
I've been coming to see you at your house mostly on Sundays
Sunday morning, I get this special feeling in my heart that takes me through the weekends Sundays

Rhett Walker - Man on the Middle Cross (CCM)

Rhett Walker's CCM song, 'Man on the Middle Cross,' is a powerful reflection on the profound impact of God's grace and mercy. The song was inspired by a sermon by Alistair Begg, focusing on the two men crucified alongside Jesus, and the transformative power of Christ's sacrifice. The lyrics vividly describe the scene of three wooden crosses on a hill, with two sinners on either side of Jesus. The first verse expresses the realization that, at times, we all can relate to the sinners on the crosses—feeling guilty, regretful, and undeserving of God's love and forgiveness. The chorus beautifully captures the experience of both sinners, acknowledging that one has been on the left, filled with guilt and regret, while the other has been on the right, always seeking conflict and thinking forgiveness is beyond reach. The overwhelming theme throughout the song is the recognition of God's grace and mercy, which are not earned or deserved but freely given to all. The br...

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"Meet Me in the Valley" by Tasha Layton: God in the Low Places

We've all experienced times in our lives when everything feels impossible, and it feels like God is nowhere near. Tasha Layton sings about that very struggle in her song, "Meet Me in the Valley." Tasha calls out those painful moments and places them in the context of promises that you can read in Psalm 23. God promises that goodness and mercy will follow us, even through life's darkest seasons.  Tasha shared the main takeaway of this song on her Instagram account: "You are not forgotten. You are not alone. God meets you right where you are."   We often aren't able to recognize His grace until we're desperately needing it, and honestly, we often don't appreciate what we have (and what He has given us) until everything falls apart. But instead of dwelling in despair, Tasha reminds us to look upwards, and ask for His help: "In the middle of the war // Tell me that I'll make it // When I'm not sure // You'll be faithful." We...
