Have You Ever Heard the Good News' by Michelle: Sharing the Hope of Salvation

Michelle releases a new song called "Have You Ever Heard the Good News". The process of creating this song started back in October 2019, after dreaming about writing a salvation song. The song was put aside for years, until recently, when she felt that God was telling her that it was time.

Michelle - Have You Ever Heard the Good NewsThe song has an incredible backstory: two dreams that realigned her music, to music with a divine message. Originally, Michelle was writing songs about her own experiences in the military, but God had other plans for her music. In a dream, she received three words: 'RADIO. PRECEDENCE. SALVATION.' She felt God was telling her to prioritize on sharing the good news of salvation on the radio.

In another dream, she heard the layout of this song, and it felt like God had given her instructions on how to put the song together. She heard the song with an orchestra of music, a female gospel choir, and herself singing, with a crowd of people singing in harmony. But the timing wasn't right. Years later, Michelle felt inspired to record this song, interrupting the work she was doing with her producer on another short album.

The song is about Jesus Christ dying for our sins so that if we believe in him we can have eternal life. The lyrics, 'Have you ever heard the good news? How God sent his only Son to die for you?', making this song a very personal invitation to experience the overwhelming love and grace of Jesus Christ. We know that that we are far from perfect and, despite that, God had a plan to save us. Michelle sings, 'Jesus Christ prophesied to be the King of the world, Jesus Christ crucified for the sins of the world,' the core foundation of our faith.

The chorus, 'Hallelujah, I believe in you,' is a great way to express the joy we have in our faith, a joy that we may also share with others, a message of hope that changes lives. Just like this song starts small, this message once started as a spark of hope in your heart, igniting a fire that continues to develop and grow, changing your life, and has the potential of bringing hope to people around you. Hope that continues to grow when you ask others, 'Have you heard the good news?'

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

Brandon Lake - Praise You Anywhere (CCM)

'Praise You Anywhere' by Brandon Lake is a powerful anthem that encourages us to turn to praise in every season of life. No matter the circumstances we face, choosing to praise God will shift our perspective and ignite faith within us. The lyrics of the song remind us that in the midst of darkness, fire, and challenges, we can dance, sing, and praise God. We are called to worship even when it doesn't make sense and to boldly face the giants that stand before us. The song emphasizes the power of praising God in the highest, acknowledging His worthiness of all our praise. Brandon Lake's heartfelt message resonates with the reality that there are times when we find ourselves in prisons and battles. However, even in those moments, we can cry out to heaven, stand firm, and worship with our hands held high. The song encourages us to trust that God will bring us through, and in response, we will praise Him anywhere. The bridge of the song beautifully highlights God's faith...

"The Christ" by NewSpring Worship: Answering the Call to Confess

NewSpring Worship's new release, called "The Christ", invites us to answer Jesus' timeless question: "Who do you say that I am?" The song takes us to the scene of Mark 8:29, where Jesus and His disciples were on their way to Caesarea Philippi, and He asked His disciples: "Who do men say that I am?" After the disciples answered, Jesus turned the question around and made it personal… He asked them: "But what about you? Who do you say I am?' Peter answered, 'You are the Messiah.'" Tom, one of the members of NewSpring Worship shared: "… we want that to be a confession of every individual in our church and outside of our church. And we want that to be a confession of everybody." That's the heart of the song. Ask yourself, if you had been there together with the other disciples on that road with Jesus, what would your answer be to His question, "Who do you say that I am?" With this song, you have the oppor...
