"Friend of Sinners" by Red Letter Society: A Reflection on the Lord's Supper and Baptism


"Friend of Sinners," the latest single from Red Letter Society and the final single prior to their next full-length album. The song is a beautifully soft and reflective piece that looks at the Friend who sees us as we are.

The lyrics highlight His humility as well as the new covenant that He has given us. A covenant that is signed, sealed, and delivered through baptism and our promise to follow Him. We have a God that will break every stronghold and set us free, so that we may embrace the love and guidance that we will find in our holy Friend. Yes, our Lord is the friend of sinners. 

In just over three and a half minutes, "Friend of Sinners" beautifully reminds us of Christ's grace, love, and profound sacrifice. It points us to the One who can change our everyday lives into a purposeful life with Him by our side. May this song encourage you and reminded of the holy friendship we are all blessed to have in Jesus.
