Renovate - Brandon Sharp Remix by Lorenzo O Jackson: A Prayer for Transformation

"Renovate - Brandon Sharp Remix" is an upbeat & fun version of the song "Renovate" by Lorenzo O. Jackson. The lyrics are inspired by a prayer from Psalm 139:23–24, that alls us to align our thoughts and actions with God's will and ask God to shape us into His vision and use us to build His Kingdom.

Lorenzo O Jackson - Renovate - Brandon Sharp RemixThe song came to life after Lorenzo felt prompted one day in 2022 while driving by a house that was being renovated. The Lord impressed upon his heart that renovation was what he needed in his life. He took out his phone and started singing the lyric, "I can't stay the same, Renovate me." The lyrics evolved, but the theme remained: "Here I am, Lord, Renovate me." More than 2 years later, he shared this with his old college friend Brandon Sharp, who shared a similar story, and they created a song that has you dancing and reflecting on how God can rebuild our hearts. Their collaboration proved to be a perfect fit, as they completed the song's writing, recording, mixing, and mastering within a mere 20 days!

May this song help you to admit your brokenness and the need for God's mercy to build something new. May the lyrics, such as "Change my heart, change my mind; here I am Lord, renovate me", help you to give God full authority in your life so that He can renovate you in ways that bring you closer to Christ. Surrender, and let Him renovate your life and tear all the walls down that you've built up.

"Is Anybody There? (Psalm 27)" by Stephen M. Miller: Holding On to Grace at Heaven’s Door

Stephen M. Miller's "Is Anybody There? (Psalm 27)" comes in the quiet aftermath of the Christmas celebrations, when reflection can feel like isolation. Stephen's song isn't about polishing away his mistakes, nor does it encourage you to do so with your mistakes. Stephen shares his painful experience, "I never saw it coming Lord // It felt right but it was wrong // Family and friends have left me // But I still have you and a song."   Stephen owns the fallout of his actions, taking accountability without despair. "I said it and I did it, Lord // Broke more hearts than I'll ever know // I can't fix this, though I've tried // Don't be angry, and please don't go." His song is a prayer for God's presence and guidance. "Hear me when I call you, Lord // Don't turn your face away // Don't give up on me like others have // Come help me through this day." Stephen describes a fear that we too experience when we ...

"Love Still Bids You Welcome" by Jeremy David: Finding Restoration Thru Repentance by God’s Grace

(by Jasper Tan) Jeremy David's "Love Still Bids You Welcome" is a moving Christian Contemporary song that testifies to one's repentance, that God accepts with grace, and His assurance of salvation. It's a catchy acoustic rock track that acts as Jeremy's personal prayer, as he confesses the status of his relationship with God, where he feels that God is slowly drifting away from him. And while this experience brought him regret, it also helped him realize that God's love remains constant and it is never reluctant. The core message of the song reminds us that there will always be hope in God, even when we sometimes feel unworthy of his love. God has promised that He will not cast us out, and that He will always be ready to accept us back in his arms and redeem us from the darkness that we're in. All it takes is that we learn to humble ourselves and ask Him for forgiveness. In parallel, we strive hard to turn our lives around and begin a more spiritually...
