"Be All I Need" by Adam and Ali Curry is essentially a prayer that came from a season where they were dealing with immense grief. Adam and Ali needed a way to express their sorrow and grief to the Lord, and ask Him to step into their lives as comforter and provider.

The lyrics are hopeful: “When I wake // You are there // To give me strength // When I can’t bear.” The chorus, “Be all I need,” reminds us that we can trust God to provide. “Let your Word // Be enough” and “Don’t hide your face // Don’t turn from me,” highlighting our longing to see God’s hand touch our lives. The lyrics remind us of the “goodness and mercy” that we can read about in Psalm 23 and how real it is in our pain.

The song isn’t just a lament; sure, there is room to share our sorrow and grief with God, but more important, it's also about looking forward, knowing that faith grows when we admit that we need God’s hand to hold ours.

This song invites us to acknowledge our difficulties and deliberately engage with them, instead of trying to avoid, numb, or even bypass our pain. It's there, it's real, and the best way forward is to rely on faith to become curious and compassionate and see these challenges as opportunities to deepen our relationship with God. Trust God to be the anchor when everything else feels unstable. It's in His peace that we can see the situation with more clarity and may discover new ways to respond.

Go ahead and give this song a listen, especially if your heart is aching and you need confirmation that God is listening. May you find peace in the same God to whom we may whisper, “Surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me.”

“I Believe” by Reagan Nichole: A Ten-Year-Old’s Bold Declaration of Faith

What if darkness can’t stay where Jesus lives? Eleven-year-old Reagan Nichole from Texas wrote “I Believe” right after she turned ten. Most of us wait decades before saying what we believe out loud. "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" by Robby Robinson & Andrea Hammond: Stand Firm in His Victory

What fortress stands when everything else shakes? Martin Luther wrote “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” in a time of upheaval. Now Robby Robinson and Andrea Hammond have given this hymn a fresh voice, released just in time for Reformation Week. The arrangement begins softly with piano and a single violin.
