“You Still Hear” by Howard Gripp: When Words Fail, God Listens


Sometimes, life can be so heavy that words fail. That's where Howard Gripp starts with his new song "You Still Hear." "You Still Hear" is a tender and emotional song about finding comfort and security in God, even during those quiet, tear-filled moments when we don't even know what to pray. But instead of this ending in silence, we find hope in Him who is always there and able to hear even the unspoken cries of our heart.

"Pain runs so deep // With no words to speak," and then he repeats this gentle truth: God hears us even when we can't say anything. Our God isn't distant. He's the Good Shepherd who holds us, leads us to rest, and reassures us in the midst of our sorrows. 

The chorus feels like a warm embrace, "If my prayers turn to tears // You still hear," and we may feel His warm hand on our trembling hearts. And the bridge? It's simple and powerful: "You are the One // That I lean on." Nothing fancy, just pointing us to a God whom we may approach with all our doubts and fears. The God who welcomes us in His arms, loves us, comforts us, and leads us.

Whether you're hurting or hoping, this song deserves a listen. May it remind you that you're never unheard, even in our most broken moments.

"Sunlight (Storge)" by Chelsea Chaisson: Reminisce the Simpler Times

I was kind of curious what the word "Storge" means, so I had to look it up. According to Wikipedia, "Storge is a Greek word that refers to natural, familial affection or love, particularly the bond between parents and children, as well as among family members and close friends. It is characterized by familiarity, dependence, and loyalty, often rooted in kinship bonds and shared experiences." Sounds very familiar?
