"More of You" by Michael Encarnacion: When You’re Too Weak to Pray, Pray This

We've all been there, those situations in life when our prayers feel empty, our strength is gone, and all we can whisper is, "Lord, I need more of You." That's the real heart of Michael Encarnacion's song, "More of You." Michael shares, "This song came during a time when someone close to me was drifting away, and I didn't know what to do, I tried everything in my power but realized I couldn't do this on my own."

Michael Encarnacion - More of YouWhen we've reached a point where it doesn't matter what we do or what we can say, we still have the option to kneel in prayer. When we lack words to say, it's enough to pray: "Less of me. More of You."

Isn't this a truth that we all need to understand better? So, ask yourself, when life is bright, do you still want more of Him? When you're broken, do you still reach for Him? The song not only shows us a way forward to Him, but it also holds up a mirror to see our mess, "Sometimes my mind drifts away… I've got no strength to pray." But the song doesn't end there. It moves us to focus on surrender. To trust God. To worship Him, even when you don't feel like it.

The song isn't about finding ways to feel good (although feeling good can be the result). Its intent is about choosing God, even when you're feeling empty. Even when you're feeling tired. Even when you don't understand what's happening or why. "I thank You, Jesus—cause I need more of You." Say it together with Michael. Let this small prayer sink in.

May this small prayer change you. May it remind you that your weakness isn't your barrier… it's your doorway to God. "Lord, I need more of You!"

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

With heartfelt lyrics and a soothing melody, this song offers solace and understanding to anyone feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges. The verses weave a narrative of resilience, reminding us that our struggles do not define us. The chorus confronts the notion of brokenness, acknowledging the universal experience of hiding pain and imperfections.
