"Still Good" by Olly Kiff: Faith Refined Through Fire

Have you ever questioned God's goodness, especially when everything around you seems to be falling apart? It's been over a year since Olly's family faced a devastating house fire. Olly shares: "I remember going to church that Sunday and we were singing Goodness of God - a song I've sung hundreds of times and led many times. I suddenly found myself in that moment unable to sing and in the midst of what had happened that week I asked myself "is God still good?""

Olly Kiff - Still GoodThe lyrics of this song takes us along that journey from situational faith to absolute trust. We're quick to proclaim God's goodness when blessings flow, but what about when those things don't happen? As Olly puts it, "We're not quite as quick to say "the house fell through - God is good" or "I didn't get the job - God is good.""

Olly reminds us that God's goodness isn't contingent on our circumstances. Instead of letting tragedy define his faith, Kiff discovered a deeper truth: "Even in the fire, even in the flood, You're still God, You're still good."

But most of all, this song invites you to join him in as he declares, "God You're good, in every season God You're good." Open your heart to discover God's goodness in a whole new way, one that is not based on situations or circumstances. It's a fact! GOD IS GOOD!

"Life may change, but Your goodness remains." When you face your own fires, will you choose to trust His faithful hand?

The chorus emphasizes that victory was won when Jesus died and rose again, and that we can be strong and persevere because He has gone before us. This song reminds us that we will not be crushed and should not give up when we encounter our own giants. Regardless of how enormous the...

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...
