A new rendition of a song that Avery first introduced at a 1993 youth rally on a humble blue cassette tape (!) with the lyrics that focus on Jesus' innocence, His willingness to suffer, and the mystery of a love that is beyond anything we are able to comprehend. Instead of dwelling only on the sorrow, Avery points us to the hope that His tears have made possible. "Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. "Sometime" by Robert Peterson and The Crusade: God always finds us

(by Jasper Tan) In the tradition of our favorite CCM rock anthems from the 90's and early 2000's (the Jars of Clay and Vertical Horizon come to mind), Robert Peterson and The Crusade's recently released single, called "Sometime," is a joyful experience to listen to. This is a rock song that speaks about waiting and being prepared for the right moment to be called by Jesus. It comes from a place where the miracle and the sudden arrival of God in our lives are always unpredictable. But when we are ready, God will find us. The lyricism of the song is written in such a way that there are double meanings and vague messages. I understand the artistic decision to write this in such a manner.
