"By Grace" by Madison Earl: Saved, Justified, Made New

What if the very thing you could never earn is the very thing freely given?

Madison Earl - by grace“By Grace” by Madison Earl answers that question with quiet confidence and biblical clarity.

Three years ago, Madison had the opportunity to help start a worship team on her school campus. What began as a small group of students with a passion for worship and Scripture has grown into something far beyond what they imagined. They are committed to writing worship music that is connected to Scripture and designed to help anyone listening engage with God’s Word in a personal and lasting way. “By Grace” is the second song born out of that commitment.

The song opens with a declaration: “By grace you bore the cross // By grace you found the lost // By grace you paved the way.” There’s no vague spiritual sentiment here. This is taking the gospel to its core. Grace isn’t a concept; it’s a rescue for you and me alike.

That rescue has a name. Ephesians 2:8–9 says it plainly: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” Paul wrote this in a letter to people who needed the same reminder we do. Salvation isn’t achieved… It’s received!

What does that look like on the start of a new day when you feel the weight of yesterday? It means that you’re not starting from zero. You’re starting from “done”. The chorus says it clearly, “In Christ alone it’s done.” The battle isn’t yours to win from scratch; Christ already won it for you.

You may start today knowing that. May His grace reshape how you perceive your struggles, your efforts, and your worth. You are not defined by what you’ve done. You are defined by what He did. “We’ve been made new // by grace through faith in you.”

(Related scripture: Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

Background:

This release is the second of four songs I'll be sharing this year, each inspired by God's Word. More than music, these songs are moments of worship, reminders of grace, and reflections of the journey God continues to lead us through.

Three years ago, I had the opportunity to help start a worship team on our school campus. What began as a small group of students with a passion for worship and Scripture has grown into something far beyond what we imagined. As we spent time leading worship at camps and school functions, we often struggled to find modern, engaging songs that aligned closely with the specific biblical messages being taught. Instead of compromising the vision, we decided to begin writing our own music. Our goal was simple... create worship songs rooted directly in Scripture while carrying a sound that the students could genuinely connect to... and they did! The students responded deeply to the authenticity and biblical foundation of the songs, and that encouragement inspired us to continue writing.

Since then, we have written six original songs, each intentionally connected to Scripture and designed to help anyone listening engage with God's Word in a personal and lasting way. Watching this ministry grow has been incredibly humbling, and we are excited to continue creating music that speaks truth, builds faith, and helps lead the next generation into worship.

Release date: May 21, 2026

'Fighting With My Demons' by Joe Nester: Encapsulating the Resilient Battle of Faith

Fighting With My Demons' by Joe Nester is a powerful Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) song that confronts a universal and challenging issue — the battle with inner demons. Nestled within the soothing melody and catchy rhythm are impactful lyrics conveying despair, struggle, and ultimate redemption. As the song begins, 'All my life, I’ve been battling with my demons,' listeners are instantly embraced with understanding, compassion, and know they are not alone in their struggles. The profound lyrics echo the pain of life's battles and the weariness they create, yet they’re also filled with hope. We are reminded that even while we are lost and conflicted, God's presence becomes our refuge. As we heed the voice of Nester, immersed in sincerity and conviction, the lyrics resonate, 'So fill me with your fire. Until I feel it burning bright and all the darkness turns to light.' It is a plaintive cry for God's sanctifying fire — His divine intervention to ov...

How To Build A Larger Audience/Fanbase For Your Christian Music - Part 1

Are you a Christian music artist? Do you want to build a larger audience for your music? In this 5 part series, we will explain our music marketing strategy for exponentially expanding your fanbase. Today, in part 1, we focus on the foundation needed to build a larger audience/fanbase, where to focus, and your place in a bigger picture. Next week, in part 2, we will focus on your online hub, ways to attract more visitors to your online hub, and being more than a musician.   Why do some Christian artists have millions of monthly streams on the streaming platforms, while other great artists struggle to get more than a few thousand monthly streams? Many Christian Artists struggle to reach new listeners. Marketing music was never easy, but quite a few artists (and even agents/distributors) are not using all of the possibilities that are already available. What saddens me is that many Christian artists only scratch the surface of their music marketing possibilities. DIY-platforms, such...

Josephine Grace - Higher Than the Heavens (CCM)

Josephine Grace has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Higher Than the Heavens. Josephine shared her story behind this song:  Some songs come quickly, some come slowly. This one was definitely the latter! It was way back in 2011 when I made a home demo of the first version of this song - it was moodier with completely different chords, melody and lyrics - and then it sat on the shelf (or more literally, on an external hard drive full of archived files) until the back end of last year. I’ve done some studying online with Hillsong College this past year and a half and at some point I’d explored what being wholehearted towards God means. Bits of the old song (it was called ‘I Will’ at that point), written quite directly from Psalm 108, started coming back to me beginning with Psalm 108:1 (NIV) “My heart, O God, is steadfast”.  I followed the melody in my mind to the chorus based on Psalm 108:4 (NIV) “For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your fa...
