Colossians 2:14 is very clear: "by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross." (ESV)

God didn't negotiate your debt. He cancelled it completely. The Greek word used here literally means "to wipe out completely, as ink washed off a page, gone without a trace. "Every debt that stood against me // Was undone in Jesus' name // No accusation echoes // No remainder to reclaim // You erased it forever // And it cannot speak again." None of it has any legal standing. The case was dismissed the moment that Christ said, "It is finished."

So why do so many believers still live under a verdict that no longer exists? The enemy doesn't have any new material. "You removed it // Drove it through with nail and scar // Now the record lies in silence // Buried where You broke its power." The enemy can only replay records that still live in your head and heart. Don't let him have that control over you! You are not defined by what the cross already dealt with.

Walk in that freedom today. Say it out loud… "Lord, You erased it forever!" May this song and scripture remind you of what Jesus accomplished and help you to reshape the way you see yourself. Whatever happened, it's already nailed to the cross. "No accusation echoes — no remainder to reclaim."
