"Dwelling Place" by KnowGood: The Home You Didn't Know You Had


God already has a home for you

Erika Torres grew up in a broken home, with instability and chaos, leaving home at a young age and figuring life out alone by necessity. No foundation. No steady place to land. And yet, through all of it, she writes that God never left. He kept showing up, kept guiding her, kept whispering that her true home would always be with Him.

Think about that for a second. The Creator of the universe, our God, dwells in you and loves you. He also wants you to dwell in Him, in His heart. Not visit. Not observe from a distance. Dwell.

Psalm 91:1 says it this way: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” That shelter isn’t a building you drive to on Sundays. It’s available right now, in whatever mess surrounds you today.
Is your head full of worry? Is there never enough hours in the day? The song names our struggles, and reminds us: “Try to shut the noise, and hear your voice.” Quieting the noise starts with a choice, not a feeling. Turn toward Him before the day pulls you ten different directions.

May this song stick with you today. May its message remind you that you’re not building a home from scratch. He already has a dwelling place ready for you. “Never leaves the one behind // His arms are open wide”

Hi, my name is Erika Torres. This life journey has been nothing short of incredible. This song "Dwell" is my testimony song. It's a reminder to me that regardless of the Chaos that surrounds me, the Creator of the universe lives in me and chooses to because he loves me. Growing up in a broken home, with instability and chaos, leaving home at a young age and learning to figure it out on my own, living a life with no roots and no foundation, he was still there. He never left me; He always guided me, and He taught me my home will always be with Him. For the rest of my days on this earth and then forever, I want to dwell with the Lord. I hope this song encourages you and reminds you that He wants to dwell in you as well.
