"I Still Believe" by ZOEgirl: God’s Word Stands When Waves Rise

God’s Word still stands when everything changes. Remember when faith felt simple? ZOEgirl does. In “I Still Believe,” they sing about trusting God as a child and seeing the world “in simple ways.” A message that applies even when doubts roll in, “more than a few,” hitting “like waves.” The song circles back to the group’s first single, “I Believe.” Years later, with so many people walking away from faith, ZOEgirl wants to let you know that the Bible can be trusted. Prayers going up, but nothing coming back? Jerricoe shares: “Standing in that place of quiet emptiness, I had to anchor myself, not to what I felt, but to what God promised. I remembered His word in Jeremiah: that when we seek Him, we will find Him when we search for Him with all our heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13) God ties the finding to your seeking, not to your mood. A dry season cannot cancel that guarantee. So, Jerricoe sang. He anchored himself to this pr...
