Jarred AllStar - Flipping Tables (CHH)

Jarred AllStar - Flipping Tables
Jarred AllStar has released a Christian Hip Hop (CHH) track called Flipping Tables.

American rapper and Pastor Jarred Allstar returns with his new single "Flipping Tables" fresh off the heels of his EP’s “The Gift and the Calling 1 & 2.”. AllStar stands boldly for maintaining the light, order, and sanctity of Gods’ Church using his powerful delivery coupled with poignant lines to drive home the importance of being Christ-focused. Love comes with correction, and both are present as AllStar encourages all to remove spots and blemishes to be ready when Christ returns.

“I immediately thought of the early Kanye. The fire and passion this man (Jarred AllStar) spits out are impressive...” – IVO (Stereofox.com)

Lyrics

Beware of wolves in sheep clothing
Or Pastors in designer with sheep in cheap clothing
Oh that's Bleinciaga
Adam and Eve used fig leafs and we using Prada
We were better off just wearing nada
It's sad you see so many so and so's wearing blah blah
Oh they told us come as we are
If we leave the same we ain't really come very far
So on Sundays wearing sweats praying in a war room
Mondays in a suit sitting in a courtroom
Which judge do we wanna impress?
And I ain't judging you It's just some things we have to address
Like why we churchin in the dark? Got it feeling like a club
I know Jesus is the light They think Jesus is the plug
Some won't share a prayer without a Cashapp
Everybody looking for some change and some cash back
This is a house of prayer
Not a den of thieves, thieves, thieves, thieves
He flipping tables
There's forgiveness if you believe, believe, believe, believe
He flipping tables
Jesus
He flipping tables
Jesus
He flipping tables
This is a house of prayer
Not a den of thieves, thieves, thieves, thieves
He's flipping tables
To many sheep trynna be the shepherd huh
The flesh is eating us alive who the leapor huh
The crowds trynna keep me quiet I'm the beggar
Don't matter what part of the Body I'm a member
I'm sanctified, Holy Ghost filled fire baptized
Tell em speaking in tongues is not a past time
Why they replace their titles with a cash sign
Sundays looking like a Super Bowl half time
It's not a stage it's an alter
We weren't allowed to play in the pulpit when we were smaller
Order I miss ushers in white gloves
Deacons in black ties and church mothers I loved
Why we churchin in the dark got it feeling like a show
They think God can be controlled I know God is in control (ughh)
Don't say God said unless He said it
Know He could be returning any second
This is a house of prayer
Not a den of thieves, thieves, thieves, thieves
He flipping tables
There's forgiveness if you believe, believe, believe, believe
He flipping tables
Jesus
He flipping tables
Jesus
He flipping tables
This is a house of prayer
Not a den of thieves, thieves, thieves, thieves
He's flipping tables
They gambling with the cross like the crucifixion
So many churches you would think that there's a new religion
When they can't stand the rain there's a new edition
In 2020 everybody thought they knew the vision
Every bodies a prophet everyone's an Apostle
Only a few are chosen that's right out of the Bible
Gospel it's all about Heaven or Hell
The Devil will have you think that Heaven is Hell
Light shows in the sanctuary
Worship service looking like the first of January
Tell me how we pose to save the nation
When our church is full of segregation
We ain't wrestling with flesh and blood
The only thing that comes out of flesh is blood
This isn't anger it's love
Now let's see what correction does
This is a house of prayer
Not a den of thieves, thieves, thieves, thieves
He flipping tables
There's forgiveness if you believe, believe, believe, believe
He flipping tables
Jesus
He flipping tables
Jesus
He flipping tables
This is a house of prayer
Not a den of thieves, thieves, thieves, thieves
He's flipping tables

"The Cross" by Mhammed El Alami & HKL: At the Cross, Where Mercy Meets the Weary Heart

Rooted in the story of Jesus giving Himself at Calvary for everyone, "The Cross" by Mhammed El Alami & HKL turns this familiar message into a very personal invitation. Just stop carrying what is crushing you ( "Lay it down, let it go" ), surrender it to Christ, and let Him hold you. These lyrics are not only about the cross at Calvary. It's also about your cross, your fear, your shame, and your need for His peace. "Darkness fell, I was breaking fast," and we may count on the forgiving arms of a merciful Savior who is always there, even when our lives feel cold and heavy. "At the cross // You gave it all, you felt the cold // and love took hold // and made me whole." It's at the cross where "mercy bled and grace was born" for you, personally. It's where His grace clears your way home. What does that mean for us today? It means that we do not need to walk or carry our burdens alone. We may place everything that weighs u...

"Boxes" by John Long: Breaking Free from Religious Boxes

(by Jasper Tan) John Long’s “Boxes,” written with Dustin Smith, is both a reflection and criticism of how we oftentimes allow ourselves to be limited (“boxed”) with our faith. Using the “box” as the core metaphor of the song, it represents our self-imposed (or community-imposed) limitations with religious traditions that prevents genuine a genuine relationship with God. John emphasizes that these limitations often run into conflict with the original intentions of God, to have a free flowing holy communion with God. The song is characterized by our sense of longing and our desire to re-approach our Faith with clean hands and a pure heart. From the opening lines itself, we are challenged to evaluate the current status of our faith and come to realize that it may never really what we intend it to be. Our intention from the start was born from a desire to start a deep and Holy Communion with God, and as the bridge and chorus approaches, the song has a more personal and prayerful tone. We a...

"He's My Rock" by Jamar Esaw & Triad 4 Christ: Finding Shelter in the Storm

(by Jasper Tan) “He’s My Rock” by Jamar Esaw & Triad4Christ featuring Koriann Lewis-Freeman is a powerful contemporary Gospel track that delivers a blend of traditional worship and modern soul. It reminds me of some of the songs by the band DC Talk, which was the definitive sound of modern Christian Contemporary Music when it exploded in the music scene back in the 90’s. This contemporary Gospel track brings forth an energetic sound that updates the way we sing our praise and worship sessions in our Churches. The song brings in a raw modern energy that breaks tradition while also encouraging worship sessions to be more in tune with the times, which brings a lot of youthful energy. The song is powered by Jamar Esaw’s smooth, commanding vocals and Koriann Lewis-Freeman’s additional vocal range. Bringing in an electric chemistry rooted in the authenticity of emotions as they sang the lyrics of the song. This is clearly felt during the song’s build-up to its climactic moments. With a r...
