Emily Faith, Laudr8 - Rebel (Remix) (CEDM)

Emily Faith, Laudr8 - Rebel (Remix)
Emily Faith, Laudr8 has released a Christian EDM (CEDM) track called Rebel (Remix).

Emily Faith expands her country and pop sensibilities with an EDM remix of her song Rebel. The song is a stunning combination of country, EDM elements and Christian music that Emily has been working on for the past five years.

"While I loved pop and it was fun, I did not want to lose my roots. That's why I wanted to bring Country into the Christian music I was making and combine the two genres," Emily emphasizes, explaining the heart behind her forthcoming projects. "It's been a really awesome journey - finding the perfect mix between country and Christian. I hope it connects with people while staying true to who I am."

As a 16-year-old, Faith debuted into the contemporary Christian space in 2017 when she opened for the Newsboys "God's Not Dead - Rivals" tour, and shortly after that, for FOR KING & COUNTRY. She released four singles after joining the CCM realm, drawing heavily on her pop influences.

In her music and lyrics, you can hear an openness and a sense of true connection. It is Faith's primary mission as an artist to write songs that relate to people in a variety of environments and circumstances. Faith's songs are inspired by her own personal experience with faith and culture and bring a sense of settled happiness while encouraging listeners in their faith.

"[My songs are] very raw, very real, connection and relationship-based, and often very fun and even spontaneous," she notes. "I want to form meaningful relationships with people through music."

Faith also volunteers as a music teacher at Granville Community Music School in Oklahoma City, a school that serves underprivileged communities. This uniquely combines her calling as a musician with her Christian faith.

"That is by far my greatest passion. Working with those kids and getting to share the gift of music with them has been something I've cherished for the past three years," Faith says. "As Christians, that's something we're called to do - give back to others and be leaders in our community while shining the light of Christ. It's been a great place to connect, give the children something to look forward to each week, and bring some joy into their lives."

Lyrics:

Staring at my screen
See the hurt and fear
Sticks and stones get thrown - I’m On the edge of tears

Tough to not lose heart - when I Look around these days
World with so much dark Weighing down my faith

(pre)
Trying hard to drag me down
But I’m gonna stand my ground - won’t Let go of this strength I’ve found

(chorus)
Call me a rebel
I won’t give up hope
I’ll keep believing
God’s still in control
There’s reason for every moment There’s a love that won’t let me go - so Call me a rebel
A rebel
I won’t give up hope

(verse)
I know what to do
Shut the world away Spend some time with you Starts to lift the weight

(pre)
You’ve got each moment in your hands You see beyond the things I can

I want the future you’ve got planned Your power gives me strength to stand

REPEAT CHORUS

(bridge)
Go against the grain Stepping out in faith Don’t care what they say

"Living Proof" by Island Tribe Collective: When His People Unite, Mountains Move

(by Jasper Tan) "Living Proof" by Island Tribe Collective (featuring Sherwin Gardner, Marc Isaacs, and Alicia Taylor) is a live recording of a powerful, high-energy worship anthem that embodies what the collective calls "Caribbean Worship." The group invites us into a celebration of faith, utilizing the culture from the Caribbean islands and how they express it as a living proof of God's goodness. The song talks about our faith and the new beginnings that are promised to us after we overcome our struggles and hardships. Their repeated proclamation of "Lord, I'm living proof" aims to drive down the message that each one of us is already a living proof of God's faithfulness love, and mercy. We all have our own unique faith experiences and stories that could somehow inspire the people around us. So for those of us who have been know for our strong faith, being able to overcome our struggles and testify about it, brings a more concrete testimony an...

"Green Enough Here" by John Long: Stop Chasing More and Start Living Now

What if the life you already have is actually the life you've been looking for? That's the question that John Long's song, "Green Enough Here", is answering. This song encourages us to take a fresh look at the endless chase in the world today, the one that encourages us to get more and more and more… John invites us to slow down, stay in the present, and find beauty in the ordinary. John doesn't waste time getting to the point: "Don't waste all of your time in the fast lane // Take it easy and learn to love the process." It's a simple message, opposite to what the world is telling us… that a full life is measured by what we have achieved or our status. Contrary to what the world is telling us, it's personal relationships, raising children, staying grounded, embracing the quiet seasons, and listening to God's guidance that matter most. The second verse takes the message a step further. "I'm done letting all my failures hold m...

"Dancing In Your Light" by Ora Street Mission Band: Shining Through Everyday Acts

Ora Street Mission Band put their finger on something important with "Dancing In Your Light." It's the fact that (as Christians) we don't generate our own light, we reflect God's light. It's like the moon reflecting the sun at night. As Christians, we are called to be lights to the world! The vibe of the song draws from a rich musical palette, inspired by The Police, Weather Report, and Toto, giving the song a contemporary groove that matches the song's present-day message. The song encourages you to come into action. So, what does it look like to live as a bearer of His light? The lyrics try to compare this with a firefly lit from within, and a lighthouse holding firm before a raging sea. Each comparison points to the same truth… His light is given to be shared with others. "If he has illuminated you, then fly and be free!" Jesus declared, "I am the light of the world." This song turns that fact into a call to action. Shine, move, and...
