One Pursuit MSC - Stay (CCM)

One Pursuit MSC - Stay
One Pursuit MSC has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Stay.

Andy Chisenski shared the meaning of the song: "Stay" is a song about lingering in the presence of God. As James 4:8 says: "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." In such a fast-paced world we are reminded to fix our hearts on the promises of God."

Here are the lyrics:

Here in Your presence
Won't waste a moment
In Your love

Linger and listen
All my heart's attention
Fixed on You

All I want
Is to be
By Your love

You're always surrounding
Before and behind me
You'll never let me go

I will stay here with You

Swing to Your rhythm
Lay down all my agendas
To know You

I open up my heart
And show You all the torn parts
I've pushed aside

All You want
Is for me
To be real

More than emotion
Lord I know what You say
For Your promise tells me so

I will stay here with You
(For I know You are mine)

All I want is to be near You
In Your presence, sit down with You
Honestly, it's where I wanna be
And never leave

All I want is to be near You
In Your presence, sit down with You
Honestly, it's where I wanna be
And never leave

All I want
Is to be
By Your love

And You will stay here with me

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. Dax lays it bare: "Trials and tribulations, all my past trauma," he acknowledges, along with "generational curses from daddy and mama," and the "addictions that clouded my eyes." The honesty about his past struggles makes the message of this song so relatable and powerful.  The chorus is about the moment that the script was flipped, "I'm half the man I used to be." Not a broken man, but a man who has been freed from the burdens that weren't his to carry and kept him from God. "I don't ever chase, I got God," declaring that his new identity is anchored in faith. It's a shrug and a testimo...

"Hiding Place (Live)" by DBU Chapel Worship: Forgiven, Covered, and Free

How often do you hear worship songs being sung live in the comforts of your day-to-day living? For sure, there are a dime a dozen. Some you commonly share with the person next to you, featuring songs by popular Christian Artists. But there's a certain form of unique sincerity when one discovers a worship song that is yet to break through to a larger audience. This is how the song "Hiding Place" by DBU Chapel Worship featuring Olivia-Grace McKern felt like when I first listened to the song. It felt like a new testimony being told, of one's dedication to find God and remain in his presence.  Taking root from Psalm 32, the song is a collaboration of Olivia with a host of songwriters from the DBU Chapel Worship. Enriching her experience as a songwriter and moving her through the songwriting process. In perhaps a reflection of what the song eventually became, it wasn't so that Olivia conveniently hid behind the DBU Chapel Worship songwriters/musicians. This song is a c...
