Luminate House’s ‘Open My Eyes’: A Heartfelt Prayer in Song


Luminate House releases their 4th song, called 'Open My Eyes', featuring Joe Garza and Angel Toakesse. It's a beautiful prayer asking God to open our eyes to His daily blessings. Not only the big blessings, but especially those small miracles that often get lost in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. 

Luminate House -What makes 'Open My Eyes' special is how it draws you in, and ignites a longing to sit in God's presence. Lines like, 'You are my God, blessing me always, true to your word,' wrapped in a warm melody, increasing your longing to those special moments that you can hear His voice and feel His guiding hand. 

'You make a way, open my eyes,' a chorus that reminds us that God is our waymaker, if we are ready to see it. Sure, life can blindside us, but you can count on God to find a way to lead you through it. It is such a comfort to know that we're not alone! 

Even though we live in such a noisy world, it is so important that create time and space to God, 'I give you this space, I'm listening now, as I sit and wait, Lord speak to me now.' How often do we take time to listen to Him? By listening, we allow Him to shape our lives and refine our hearts. 

May 'Open My Eyes' inspire you to open your eyes to His blessings, and listen to His voice. deepen your faith, and to remind you of God's unwavering faithfulness, Go ahead, give it a listen. I trust that you'll feel His love surround you.

"Stand By Me" by Daniel Aranda: Finding Steadiness in Life's Storms

Who’s standing with you in the storm? “Stand By Me” by Daniel Aranda is an amazing rendition of a hymn written by Charles Albert Tindley in 1905. Tindley was the son of a former slave, a man who knew what it meant to need help that wasn’t guaranteed. He didn’t write from comfort. He wrote from the middle of a fight, and that’s exactly why the song is still so relevant and cherished by many today. Daniel Aranda’s recording brings gospel legends Terry Blackwood and Charlie McCoy into that same lineage, carrying Tindley’s plea forward into a new generation.  The lyrics move through life’s troubles, one verse at a time. “When the storms of life are raging, stand by me”  — that’s not poetic exaggeration. Have you ever grown numb to a miracle?  “What A Savior” by Will & Jacinta Ellis and Crossing Life Worship began as a chorus in a co-write, before it took on a life of its own. Will & Jacinta wanted something rich and almost hymn-like, a bold declaration of who Jesus is — not a tired restatement, but a fresh look. They never wanted to grow “used to” what Jesus accomplished, so they wrote about holding on to Him in every season, regardless of whether it’s calm or chaotic.  The opening lines start with the redemption through Jesus’ blood: “The precious fount, that cleansing flow, the Son of God poured out for all.” That’s the blood that Jesus spilled for you. The song moves from the cleansing through His blood to the result: “The debt I owed and all sin’s claims were buried with You in the grave.” Your debt. Buried.
