"Purpose" by Andrew Macdonald: Uncovering Your Meaningful Calling

When Andrew Macdonald finished his first album—a concept album about lifelong love—he recognized how music can be used to share meaningful, impactful, and inspirational truths about faith. This song, "Purpose," has been almost two years in the making and will be the title track of an album that is still in the works.

Andrew Macdonald - PurposeThis song is meant to inspire others who are searching for meaning in their lives, with the hope that this song inspires them to live a life of purpose. For Macdonald, purpose isn't something abstract—it's how he lives daily, guided by faith.

The lyrics are like a conversation with yourself, gently encouraging you to live each day with new meaning. There's no thunderous call here—"It's a quiet calling // Deep in your heart," waiting for you to listen carefully. When things go wrong in life, don't look at those challenges as roadblocks! See each challenge as a stepping stone that brings you closer to finding and understanding your unique "why" in God's plan.

The key message of this song is that readiness matters more than grandeur. Look at how Macdonald puts it: "Maybe it's your family // Maybe it's your love // Maybe it's a neighbor // You're there for when they call // Doesn't matter if its grand // Doesn't matter if its small // Only matters that you're ready // When you hear life's call"

Respond to life's calls with love, kindness, and faith. Ultimately, our goal is to leave the world a better place than we found it, living intentionally, and doing everything for God's glory.

May this song remind you that purpose isn't something that you happen to stumble upon—it's something that you create every single day, and above all, you create it together with God.

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. Dax lays it bare: "Trials and tribulations, all my past trauma," he acknowledges, along with "generational curses from daddy and mama," and the "addictions that clouded my eyes." The honesty about his past struggles makes the message of this song so relatable and powerful.  The chorus is about the moment that the script was flipped, "I'm half the man I used to be." Not a broken man, but a man who has been freed from the burdens that weren't his to carry and kept him from God. "I don't ever chase, I got God," declaring that his new identity is anchored in faith. It's a shrug and a testimo...

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...
