"Let the Truth" by Presence Music Band: A Song for the Real, the Broken, and the Honest


It's so easy to meet someone with a smile plastered on and pretend everything's fine, e.g., when you walk into church. A complex mask to prevent questions and hold up appearances, both in faith and life. Presence Music Band gets it. They were seeing so many people who seemingly have everything all figured out, while they personally felt that they were often falling short. How is that possible? Is it real, or is it an act?

Presence Music Band - Let the TruthWe are under so much pressure to look perfect. Model citizens, model families, model parents, model students, model Christians… How can you keep up? This song is a beautiful invitation to drop the act. It acknowledges that we can "fool so many" with a smile while our "heart is heavy." Not everyone has the talent (or time) to see beyond our fake masks! That mask is hurting us, and it's sending the wrong message to others!

This song asks the question, "But what if we removed the masks and breathed?" A question that reminds us that beneath the surface, we're likely all "stuck in the same boat," wrestling with our own challenges and (hopefully) crying out to God for help. "We were never made to walk alone," encouraging us to share our struggles and embrace God's grace together. 

May this song remind you that it is okay to be real! God tells us to come as we are, and if that is fine for God, why should we insist otherwise from friends, family, others in church… or ourselves? "Whoop The Devil" by Destin Dumais: Standing in Christ's Authority

Who gave you the authority to stand firm? Destin Dumais opens his debut single with an amazing sound that excites, gets you up on your feet, and gets you ready to conquer. “Whoop The Devil” is a hard-hitting country-rock song with one clear message: As believers, we hold real authority in Christ! The song starts with a cowboy scene. “Gonna saddle up and ride, ain’t no place you can hide.” Then comes the line that makes an important difference: “Been deputized, authorized.” Nobody appoints himself to this work. The badge was handed over at Calvary. Jesus said it plainly in Luke 10:19: “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” Who gives the authority? "He Knew" by Krystal Dawn Land: The Cost Christ Chose Before the Cradle

Jesus knew everything, and He came anyway! Let’s go back to the birth of Jesus, a newborn lying in the manger, part of a larger plan and fully aware of where His path would end before He came to earth. Krystal Dawn Land’s song, “He Knew”, opens with a question that stops you cold, especially if you consider how you would respond: “What if He knew? What if He saw? What if He knew the pain He’d face to give it all?” This isn’t idle speculation. The song walks through the full arc of Jesus’ story, “from the cradle to the cross” , and insists that nothing that happened caught Him off guard. He saw the betrayal coming. He saw the doubt, the walking away, “some would not believe, some would walk away.” And still, as Krystal sings, “He did… He knew all along.
