"Be Still (Live)" by Hope Worship: Stillness is a Verb


Does it feel like the world's spinning too fast, tension building up, and were waiting for chaos to errupt? That's exactly what triggered 'Be Still (Live)' by Hope Worship. The lyrics are inspired by Psalm 46:10 - "Be still, and know that I am God."

The song is like a prayer for peace in the middle of our storms. It encourages us to pause and breathe, and remember God's steady hand even when the world around us feels unstable. 

The lyrics reaffirm God's character: "Always by my side," "compassion and grace," "slow to anger and faithful," and "love that never fails." It emphasizes that we may worship God in all parts of our lives, any time, any place. "In the stillness I'll exalt you," "in the chaos I'll exalt you." No part of our lives is off-limits for praise. "I'll be still and know you're God." 

Hope Worship shared the following about Psalm 46:10: "these words reminded us that stillness is not about doing nothing." May this song remind you that chaos isn't the end… worship is the response. "Sunlight (Storge)" by Chelsea Chaisson: Reminisce the Simpler Times

(by Jasper Tan) Feel good, light-hearted, easy listening track. That's how I find Chelsea Chaisson's new single called "Sunlight (Storge)." I was kind of curious what the word "Storge" means, so I had to look it up. According to Wikipedia, "Storge is a Greek word that refers to natural, familial affection or love, particularly the bond between parents and children, as well as among family members and close friends. It is characterized by familiarity, dependence, and loyalty, often rooted in kinship bonds and shared experiences." Sounds very familiar? Of course, it should be, because as per the description, it actually describes what Christian love is. Or should I say how God loves us as His children?
