"Rains of Revival" by Mark & Sarah Tillman: Washing Away Every Idol

Are you thirsty for something more, a change that gives more meaning to life? Mark & Sarah Tillman's "Rains of Revival" calls us back to repentance, to the simple Gospel, to be the hands and feet. This is one of the songs featured on their compilation album, "The Story So Far - The Collection," which is filled with all the songs they have released so far.

Mark & Sarah Tillman - Rains of RevivalThe song begins with a confession we all need to make at least once in our relationship with God: "Oh God we're crying out! Our hearts are desperate for You!" In other words, this isn't polite Sunday morning singing. This is about an honest hunger for God to be present in all parts of our lives. But most of all, this song confronts our hidden idols.

After more than a decade of ministry, Mark & Sarah Tillman understand how even good things can become idols, distracting our focus from the Most High. The lyrics plead: "Rains of revival, wash every idol away!" Standing in this downpour requires surrender.

Instead of using complicated theology, the song returns us to the simple Gospel - a gospel that everyone is able to understand. The song uses imagery of "mountains to valleys" and "winter to spring," to remind us that God fills everything. "God Your on the move // It's what we asked You for // It's what You said You would do."

So, here's your invitation: Let this tidal wave of worship wash over you. Listen actively. Sing along loudly. Let God remove the idols in your heart and live. The rains of revival are already pouring down… will you stand in them?

Background:

“Rains of Revival” is the brand new track off Mark & Sarah Tillman’s newest album, The Story So Far - The Collection; a compilation of the entirety of their discography.

Rains of revival, wash every idol away! Anything(including good things!) that is taking the place as the Lord of our life instead of the most high, let it be washed away in your river of mercy.

Call us back to repentance, to the simple Gospel, to be the hands and feet🙏 Forgive us for making it about ourselves and overcomplicating what you laid out so even the youngest could understand and walk out.

'Treasure (Live)' by Taylor Pride: Diving Deeper into Divine Intimacy

As you lean in close, you'll hear something truly special in this live rendition of Taylor Pride's 'Treasure.' Here's a song that breaks bread with your spirit, an earnest plea desiring deeper intimacy with God - and chances are that this is what your heart is also seeking.  Imagine being taught by God Himself, as Taylor asks in his lyrics, 'Teach me your way, O Lord.' Like a piercing heart-to-heart, don't you think? Because don't we all long to know Him more and more?  Pride paints a vivid scene of gazing upon God's beauty, of longing for God - and that's His profound message, isn't it? The desire of the faithful, the treasure we seek, is nothing more than God Himself - His comfort, His safety, His abundance, even in dire times.  Throughout the ups and downs of life, His steadfast presence remains our constant, promising to never run away, even when our hearts hit rock bottom. And it's in those deepest valleys that, if we're sti...

"Holy Flame" by Josh Grove - Talented Young Voice Inspires with Worship

Have you already heard Josh Grove's new song, "Holy Flame"? It's an upbeat worship song written and performed by Josh, and what makes this release even more intriguing is that Josh is a super talented 15-year-old singer-songwriter. He first shared this song at a youth event, and the response was so amazing that he was signed up by NRT. This release is the studio version. The song is all about the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and celebrates God's constant goodness and grace. The lyrics remind us that He is with us in every moment, day, or night, through both joy and hardship.  With lyrics like "I see You rising like a wave // I see Yo u falling like the rain," Josh emphasizes that we can see God in every situation. He's right there with us through all of our ups and downs, offering us hope and ready to guide us (if we reach out and listen). "You're by my side // Until the end of time." What I also find very exciting is that i...

"Back to Life" by James Bizak: Power in the Name of Jesus With Pop Punk Sound

"Back to Life" by James Bizak is a raw, high-energy pop punk track with a bold Christian truth… Whenever we are feeling broken or lost, we will find hope and redemption in Jesus. The choice of this genre is intended to reach a wider audience, as well as more youth, right where they are—possibly feeling broken, abandoned, or even feeling dead inside.  The lyrics reflect a pain and emptiness that so many people are feeling: "I've been broken // Beaten down // My faith stolen." The song acknowledges our feelings of despair, and even more important, it points us to hope, "There's power in your blood // There's power in the name of Jesus." With lines like "When I was dead inside // You brought me back to life," the lyrics emphasize that redemption and restoration can only be found in Him.  James Bizak highlights that Jesus has ultimate authority over darkness, "You see me surrounded // The demons fall back. // … // A sea of never e...
