"My Light" by SophiaEki: When the Storm Hits, His Light Shows The Way


Life can be hard at times. Storms come without warning, heavy clouds blocking your view, or sometimes the road ahead goes completely dark. SophiaEki's "My Light" is especially for those moments when you're feeling overwhelmed or drifting alone. The comfort offered in this song is rooted in faith and reminds us of the promises that He has made.

Our God isn't a distant God. SophiaEki reminds us that He actively reaches out, gets personally involved, and is present each and every time we call. 

What makes the message in this song so precious is its honesty. SophiaEki doesn't pretend you'll always find your footing. She sings multiple times: "Even when I miss my way." These words aren't a sign of defeat, but a pure surrender to Him. You can lose your direction time and time again, even miss the fact that He was reaching out to you, and He'll continue to reach out until you let Him in. That's the heart of the song. 

So, it shouldn't come as a surprise that SophiaEki sings: "You're always there for us, Lord you're present every time we call." If you're thinking that this doesn't apply to you, then you're in for a surprise. His promises also apply to you! Ask around, SophiaEki isn't the only one who has experienced this. This is a shared testimony, and His light is there for you as well! 

Give "My Light" a listen, especially on those days when you need reminding that the storm doesn't get the final word. "Even when I miss my way, oh Jesus, You are the light through the storm."

“I Believe” by Reagan Nichole: A Ten-Year-Old’s Bold Declaration of Faith

What if darkness can’t stay where Jesus lives? Eleven-year-old Reagan Nichole from Texas wrote “I Believe” right after she turned ten. Most of us wait decades before saying what we believe out loud. She sings it! Her opening lines name a fear many people quietly carry with them: “You think that you’ve gone way too far, that there’s no way to turn back.” Have you ever felt that? Reagan reminds us of a promise. Jesus “will wash you clean.” No résumé required. No catching up. She calls the song her personal declaration that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. "Digging Ditches" Brandon Drit: Preparing for Water You Can’t See

Obedience comes first. The rain comes later. Brandon Drit knows what dry seasons can feel like. His song, “Digging Ditches”, opens on a desert road, with strength fading and a question that probably sounds a lot like yours: “How much longer will this last?” The message of the song grew out of 2 Kings 3:16, and it also marks his first professionally edited and mastered release, a ditch of its own, dug in faith. Picture the following scene. Three armies are stranded in the wilderness with nothing to drink. Then God sends Elisha with a strange order: dig trenches in the dry valley. The promise that follows sounds impossible: “You shall not see wind or rain, but that streambed shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink” (2 Kings 3:17).
