Chris Tomlin, We The Kingdom - Christmas Day - Live (CCM / Christmas)

Chris Tomlin, We The Kingdom - Christmas Day - Live
Chris Tomlin, We The Kingdom has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Christmas Day - Live.

As far as I'm aware, Chris Tomlin is the first artist this year to start releasing Christmas songs!

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year because it's a time when people from different countries come together to celebrate Christmas in one way or another. The holiday season is a time for family reunions and sharing warm feelings of appreciation and warmth. I believe the spirit and message of Christmas deserve more than just a month or two around the holidays. This is one of the reasons why we update our Christmas playlists throughout the year.

My heart immediately begins to feel Christmas-like `when listening to Chris Tomlin's 'Christmas Day - Live'. I hope that listening to this song will at least spark excitement for the upcoming Christmas season in every single one of you.

Lyrics:

Joy to the world
On a night like no other
Emmanuel
God is with us
Beggars and kings
Let us come and adore Him Rest in His peace
And bow before Him

Sing all you people
The Lord Almighty reigns
Sing every creature of God
Come bless His name
For He is good, for He is good
He was born to conquer the grave
Light of the world
The reason for Christmas Day

Stars we have seen
Over deserts and oceans
The darkness was deep
But never hopeless
Redemption came
And His name is Jesus

From the mountains
We will shout it out
For the Lord our God Almighty reigns
He is with us
He is with us now
For the Lord our God Almighty reigns
From the mountains
We will shout it out
For the Lord our God Almighty reigns
He is with us
He is with us now
For the Lord our God Almighty reigns

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. Dax lays it bare: "Trials and tribulations, all my past trauma," he acknowledges, along with "generational curses from daddy and mama," and the "addictions that clouded my eyes." The honesty about his past struggles makes the message of this song so relatable and powerful.  The chorus is about the moment that the script was flipped, "I'm half the man I used to be." Not a broken man, but a man who has been freed from the burdens that weren't his to carry and kept him from God. "I don't ever chase, I got God," declaring that his new identity is anchored in faith. It's a shrug and a testimo...

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...
