Taylor Pride’s 'Joy Comes in the Morning': A Musical Reminder of Morning’s Promise

Have you ever felt so weighted down that it seems like the night would never lead to dawn? Taylor Pride's 'Joy Comes in the Morning' captures that feeling, and points the listener to the promise we all have in Christ of a glorious transformation to renewal. The inspiration for this song came during a Lula Street Records songwriting camp, and basically wants to confirm to you that joy does come in the morning, just as promised in Psalm 30:5.

Taylor Pride - Joy Comes In The Morning (Live)'Joy Comes in the Morning' is a declaration of faith, that when you are feeling at your lowest, weary and worn, there is hope. 'When I'm hurting when I'm weary / Lord I know that you are with me', what a powerful sense of God's unwavering support, and this feeling grows with each repetition.

You can feel Taylor's conviction in the live recording - it's almost tangible. The raw emotion in his voice, together with a gospel-infused harmony, really finds its way into your heart. This song is such an encouragement, especially on those days when you feel like God's light isn't able to cut through the darkness.

So, have a listen to 'Joy Comes in the Morning,' and may in remind you that no matter what you will be facing today, a new dawn is breaking: Joy always arrives fresh with the morning.

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"The Veil" by Joshua Malachi: Knowing God Without Barriers

Joshua Malachi's song, "The Veil," is about our intimacy with God, that has been made possible through Christ's sacrifice on the cross… The song starts with "I enter by your blood // I enter by your name," Christ's sacrifice—His blood and name—is the key that made it possible to approach God. This message is further emphasized with, "I enter by your spirit and the sacrifice you made."   "The veil was torn, that I may know you, I want to know you, Jesus," He removed the barrier between us and God's presence. It's not through our efforts, but through Christ's ultimate sacrifice that we find our way home. It's an open invitation to our Creator!  "We enter by your blood… We enter by your spirit and the sacrifice you made." Note the use of the word "we"! "We" as in everyone, and He makes no exceptions! You and I may know God intimately, because Christ prepared the way. "The veil was tor...
