"Stand In Awe (Live)" by Perimeter Worship: Grace Upon the Cross


(by Jasper Tan) If you are looking for a very beautiful praise and worship song this month, then look no further than listening to Perimeter Worship's song "Stand In Awe." From the get-go, you'll feel the chills and the calming presence of the Holy Spirit as the opening notes are played. And the song gets right to it when the opening lines "Christ alone be lifted high, Christ alone be glorified" immediately glorify God. As Perimeter Worship shares, "'Stand in Awe' is a declaration of worship centering our hearts on Christ, reminding us of His finished work on the cross, and thanking Him for the grace He lavishly poured out for us. We worship with both humility and confidence, ascribing all majesty, power, and authority to Christ alone (Psalm 96:7–8)."

Perimeter Worship - Stand In Awe (Live)The song is a through-and-through worship song that is tailor-fit to be sung at churches. It's a call to worship with humility and confidence, ascribing all majesty, power, and authority to Jesus alone. When a worship song focuses solely on Jesus, you'll immediately know that such a song was written with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. And that's why it shows with this song when I immediately felt the goosebumps enveloping me. Perhaps it was the presence of the Holy Spirit. I also broke out an impromptu Praise and Worship session as I watched the video of Perimeter Worship singing this song. It's pretty rare for me to be touched by a worship song through a video recording. It felt like I was transported in the praise and worship session and was there in person to witness the awesomeness of God's grace and glory. "Stand In Awe" is the first single from an upcoming live album that Perimeter Worship recorded at their church. They plan to release two more singles in the next two months. I can't wait to hear more of the songs that they could share with us.

Josephine Grace - Higher Than the Heavens (CCM)

Josephine Grace has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Higher Than the Heavens. Josephine shared her story behind this song:  Some songs come quickly, some come slowly. This one was definitely the latter! It was way back in 2011 when I made a home demo of the first version of this song - it was moodier with completely different chords, melody and lyrics - and then it sat on the shelf (or more literally, on an external hard drive full of archived files) until the back end of last year.
