Last night, Lyn'O officially released a French Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called MOOD.
MOOD deals with temptation, the inner voices that can lead us astray, and the arms we need to overcome it.
Lyn'O shared with us: "I wanted to talk about Jesus in a different way: It is important for me to talk about the kind of struggles we can face in the everyday life, and how the living God supports us.
Temptation is something we share everyday, in every kind of way and this song talks about it. I sing that temptation has a first name but everybody will name it differently, it is a way to name his own addiction, something we want to escape from. The chorus is a call to God for help, and a remember that only Jesus can bring peace when the chaos is there."
She continues: "The main thing to remember is : whatever struggles you face, just put your trust in God through Jesus, Talk to him with your words, he does'nt judge, (men do) he has seen worse then what you think. When the chaos is within you , when you thoughts are meli melo, just trust God and the solution will come even if it seems long to come."
Lyn'O is an amazing Christian artist with many facets.
- In her music, she combines her struggles with her faith: her struggles are reflected in her lyrics.
- As a composer, she strives to create an atmosphere specific to each song using creativity.
- Her song is the voice of her soul as a performer.
As a lead or backing singer in various collaborations, Lyn'O has been exposed to Hip-Hop, R'N'B, Soul, Jazz, and even Funk music since she was young. As a result, her vocal sound signature has become somewhat melancholic. In 2007, Lyn'O found a new way, a new voice, within Jesus Christ, her inspiration. Her lyrics are now infused with love, hope, and healing.
She now mixes a "Soulfood" universe with poetic phrases that incorporate subtle biblical references.
Musically, we are treated to a kind of flashback with a taste of modernity. A topic that is so familiar to us that we can identify with it easily: who has never dealt with temptation?
"MOOD" is the 2nd release from her upcoming album PERIPETEIA (Péripéties.ndlr).
