JVS, Hustie, & R-Star have released a Christian Hip Hop (CHH) track called Out the Low.
With this new single, 'Out The Low', emerging afro-gospel fusion artist JVS depicts God's mercy and grace in a gospel drill sound. He's joined by his cousins Hustie and R-Scar on the track. 'Out The Low' marks JVS' first track ahead of the release of his new EP in January 2022.
JVS's cousins are featured in the song sharing their testimonies. This song goes deep into JVS' emotions of gratitude and giving thanks to God.
“Even though it’s been one of the worst years of my life, I’m here to testify what the Lord has done for me. The single is my personal thanksgiving to God for taking me out of darkness into light. Things could have ended badly, but because he died for us on that cross, we have faith. We can have everlasting life only through him!” — JVS
Various bible texts inspired the song, including 1 John 1: 9, John 3:16, John 4:16, Isaiah 1:16 -18, Matthew 5:16, and Isaiah 61:10 (all from the King James Version).
JVS continues to use his personal testimony and grace to win souls for the Kingdom of God.
Lyrics:
Hook: JVS
Raise me up high, now I could fly
I was down low didn't know why (repeat)
Out the low yeah you brought me out the low
where would I have been men I don't know
I was lost nowhere to go
but you brought me (repeat)
Verse 1: JVS
Lord I love you and I put you first
It’s in you I always put my trust
You have never ever let me go
Gave me blessing when they called me cursed
All the nights I almost took my life
Then I thought about your sacrifice
You don washed away all my dirt
Now I’m clothed in your righteousness
Now I’m seated at your right hand
Praising you as I’m writing this
It’s a lot more than I deserve
I was the sinner but you took my place
Yeah
You came to find me when I lost my way
Your love is real it ain’t nothing fake
You the most high so I give you praise
Hook: JVS
Out the low yeah you brought me out the low
where would I have been men I don't know
I was lost nowhere to go
but you brought me (repeat)
Verse 2: Hustie
I Praise the Lord with my heart
He took me off the wrong path
when them man were doing up road man
I was in church with my dargs
And theres no shame cause he stripped that way
Forgive me for all them girls that I played
Chilling in the rave, bottle full of wray
I was taking shots trying to bottle up the pain
Nah nah
Open hands full of Grace
We keep thanking God for that change
We keep walking blind with that faith
Salvations calling your name
Nah nah
Verse 3: R-Scar
It’s calling your name to the saviour
This is urgent, this is major
You know life is like a vapour
Here for moment then gone, see you later
You’ll laugh now, cry later
So take this warning don’t delay yah
You’re on sinking ship it’s going down
And Satan’s captain and Sailor
Ay yah
Ay yah
I don’t wanna see repeats
I see it far too often
Losing brothers to the streets
Hey
My g
Your trapped in the dark it seems
But look at the light in me
It shines with peace and harmony
Hook: JVS
Out the low yeah you brought me out the low
where would I have been men I don't know
I was lost nowhere to go
but you brought me (repeat)
