It is both mysterious and calming at the same time, a phenomenon I will never grow tired of. This song 'Moonlight' tries, through its lyrics and instrumentals, to describe some of this magnificence. It is less of a typical praise song to God, and more a song that rejoices in his creation. However, the lyrics clearly state that the moon, being part of the creation, praises God. Most notable therefore are the two last lines of the chorus that goes 'Lord, I see beauty from you tonight; songs of praise in moonlight.' When I produced 'Moonlight', I wished to produce a song that belonged to the chill house genre. As it turned out, this fitted well with the message of the song. Jesus loves me (He is strong) is an adult study on the much-loved children's hymn that adds a powerful new epilogue for those feeling weak or vulnerable. Musically it uses subtle discords between cello, open guitar, and maternal harmonies to paint a picture of adult doubt or ambivalence that’s finally overcome by faith in a savior who is strong enough to ‘carry His sheep’.
