Benjamin Hastings - Anyway (CCM)

Benjamin Hastings - Anyway
Benjamin Hastings has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Anyway.

'Anyway,' written by Josh Grimmett, David Leonard, Chris Davenport, and Hastings, is a declaration of faith in Jesus in the face of adversity. Hasting writes: 'I have to trust that whatever mess I find myself in, it's what's making me the person I was made to be. I have to trust when it comes to God that his 'will is worth the test' in highlight, in heartbreak, it's all the same and my response to him should be as such, the same.'

LYRICS:

I will trust in Your intentions
Even through my question marks
So I don’t need to know the answers
Because I know the one who does

You’ve been God for a while
So the wisdom of time
Says You always know best
So whatever befalls
Whatever You want
Your will is worth the test

When it’s yes, or no, or wait
I’m gonna praise You anyway
I’m gonna praise You anyway
Highlight, heartbreak
I’m gonna praise You anyway
I’m gonna praise You anyway
When the sky is blue
When it pours with rain
In the promise and the pain
Oh to me it’s all the same
I’m gonna praise You anyway
I’m gonna praise You anyway

I will trust in Your intentions
Even through my question marks
So I don’t need to know the answers
Cause I know that I know the one who does

You’ve been God for a while
So the devil’s had time
But still can’t shake Your plans
So whatever befalls
Whatever You want
Your will is worth the test

When it’s yes, or no, or wait
I’m gonna praise You anyway
I’m gonna praise You anyway
Highlight, heartbreak
I’m gonna praise You anyway
I’m gonna praise You anyway
When the sky is blue
When it falls with rain
In the promise and the pain
Oh to me it’s all the same
I’m gonna praise You anyway
I’m gonna praise You anyway

Cause Your heart is for me
And it always will be
I won’t doubt the plan
Cause that’s not my place
I just take my song, praise You anyways
Cause Your always worthy
And You always will be
I won’t doubt the plan
Cause that’s not my place
I just take my song, praise You anyways

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"Lead Me To The Cross" by Tiffany Ford: Surrendering All at the Cross

Tiffany Ford's rendition of "Lead Me To The Cross" is a tribute to the original song that was released approximately 10 years ago, around the same time that Tiffany started attending church with her family. The song beautifully reflects her own journey of learning about Jesus, especially His style of teaching … not by telling people what they needed to do, but by loving, healing, serving, and through His sacrifice.  One of Tiffany's favorite lines is "Rid me of myself," a contrast to the worldly focus of more is more, and shifting focus to faith, where we have all that we need, and embrace true freedom in Him. Tiffany emphasizes the message she found behind this line: "Lay your worries, your hang ups, lay everything down at the cross and follow me. Jesus died a death he didn't deserve so that we could live freely and this song serves as a good reminder for me."   It all comes together in the lines: "Savior I come // Quiet my soul, remembe...
