Vineyard Worship, Olu Meduoye has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Prayer of Consecration.

Johnny shares: "The song came to me as I sat at my piano, not in a writing session, but in an honest dialogue with God. Then I realized I wasn't where I wanted to be; I wasn't as surrendered or as yielded to God as I'd have liked, and as I played, I prayed to the melody and the lyrics became my prayer of aspiration.

In the Old Testament, the idea of bringing a sacrifice to the altar and offering something of worth to God is celebrated and in the new testament Paul encourages us to give ourselves as living sacrifices by metaphorically getting on the altar ourselves... and that's the heart of the song. This is an opportunity to come as we are and to surrender afresh, offering God the wood of our lives in the hope that He might breathe on us and that we might also breathe on Him and be set aside for Him."
