The lyrics of Natalie Grace's 'You Stayed' were inspired by her daughter's innocent a pondering, 'He stayed?' . Quite some years ago, when Natalie's daughter was really young, she was reading a story to her daughter about Jesus dying on the cross. It talked about how he could have saved himself - he didn't have to go through this suffering, but he chose to stay because He loved us and knew that this was the only way for us to be saved. Her daughter's sweet little voice just kept asking, 'He stayed???' Natalie thought this was so powerful since they had spent a lot of time singing about how He didn't stay in the grave.
