The War Within - Wreckage (CCM)

The War Within has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Wreckage.

Here's a note about the song from the The War Within team: "The Bible says that believers will face trials. I think it's safe to say for believers today, 2020 has been the year that this has rung the most true. This song is a response to that. It's an earnest prayer to our Lord and an acknowledgement that even when all else crumbles around us and we feel absolutely insane within our own minds, He is STILL present."

Song Lyrics:

Verse 1
I kneel and close my eyes
And try to find the words
The shame creeping in my mind
Is too much
The quiver in my lip
Betrays my deepest lies
And I know that I can’t hide from You
And Your love Lord

Chorus
Even when the walls come crashing down
You’ll be here in the wreckage
Even through the cold, cold nights
When darkness steals this heart
And even when all I have left to cling to
Is this one truth, I can still praise You

Verse 2
Lord I see Your heart in every
Answer to my prayers
You take me up in arms of grace
And here, only here, I find
A peace that knows no limits
Caught in a moment of surrender
At Your feet Lord

Alternate Chorus
Even when I’m grasping at frayed ends
You’ll be here in my wreckage
Even through despair and doubt
When my faith is in crisis
And even when all I have left to cling to
Is this one truth, I can still praise You

Later in the day, this track will also be visible in our New Christian Contemporary Music playlists on Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz, and Youtube (provided the track is released on these platforms).

Sarah Kroger, Nathan Jess - Belovedness - Live (CCM)

Are you tired of feeling inadequate and alone in your struggles? Have a look at Sarah Kroger's 'Belovedness,' a powerful ballad that reminds us of our worth as children of God. Initially released on Kroger's sophomore album, 'Light,' during the peak of a global healthcare crisis, 'Belovedness' quickly found a following among those battling mental health challenges. The revisited live version, recorded in a barn-turned-studio in the UK countryside, offers a sweet, intimate take on the song, featuring Northern Irish singer-songwriter Nathan Jess on vocals. Kroger wrote the song during a period of personal growth, as she discovered the truth of her identity through reading Henri Nouwen's 'Life of The Beloved.' The lyrics remind us to let go of our past mistakes and the lies we've been told, and to embrace the truth of our belovedness. This song is not only for the Christian community, it is also for anyone struggling with their identity, loo
