CopyrightOffice.eu - A new service by the makers of ChristianDance.eu to help protect the copyrights of creators / authors

 

If you are an author / creator looking for ways to protect the copyrights of your designs / notes / work, even before it is completed & published, then CopyrightOffice.eu may be interesting for you. 

The team of ChristianDance.eu built a new service called CopyrightOffice.eu, in response to challenges faced by a number of artists that we work with.  

Many countries have a Copyright Act that automatically protects the copyright of works (e.g. literature, science, or art) from the moment the work is created, on the condition that the work in question is an original work. As the author or creator, you determine what happens with your work. 

BUT... How do you protect your rights during creation? How can you prove that the credit for a Work is yours? How do you prove when a Work was (partially) created? 

We asked quite a few musicians/artists if they are able to prove that their 'Works' actually existed before it was released/published. If so, can they prove on which date it existed, and can they confidently demonstrate that the copy they have in their archive represents the version that existed at that time (read: has not been altered)? How do they do this for draft versions of their lyrics & music during the creation process? Until you actually publish your Work, it is not easy to prove that your Work existed, until now...

PS: This activity will also be used to help fund the mobile recording facility that we have. This recording facility is used to make high-quality recordings on location (e.g. choirs, church organ recitals, etc.). Due to COVID-19, we need to invest in more protective measures for the engineers and the performing artists.

"I'm Still Going to Praise You" by Die Taube: Choosing Praise in the Waiting

Can worship survive a season without answers?  Some seasons don’t resolve on schedule. “I’m Still Going to Praise You” by Die Taube ( ‘the dove’ ) was born from one of those seasons — infertility sitting alongside a father’s cancer diagnosis, disappointment stacking on disappointment. The song is part of an upcoming album, Pilgrimage, releasing one song per month until December. The album is a crossing, not a recovery, not getting back to who one was but coming through changed. The opening line of the song sets the whole tone: “Thank You has no seasons, worship does not wait.” God’s worthiness does not depend on our circumstances. Even when circumstances stay unresolved, we decide to look beyond our circumstances to praise and worship Him.  Notice what the second verse admits. “When I feel like I’ve got nothing and other times so much”  — our praises aren’t conditional on constant victory. "Just Believe" by For Him: When Doubt Isn't Disqualifying

Can you believe without having all the answers? Some people wait at the edge of faith for years, arms crossed, waiting to feel ready. “Just Believe” was written by For Him for exactly that person — the one who wants to trust Jesus but still carries a list of questions. The song grew out of that in-between space, where doubt and faith sit side-by-side and neither one of them wins outright.
