CopyrightOffice.eu - A new service by the makers of ChristianDance.eu to help protect the copyrights of creators / authors

 

If you are an author / creator looking for ways to protect the copyrights of your designs / notes / work, even before it is completed & published, then CopyrightOffice.eu may be interesting for you. 

The team of ChristianDance.eu built a new service called CopyrightOffice.eu, in response to challenges faced by a number of artists that we work with.  

Many countries have a Copyright Act that automatically protects the copyright of works (e.g. literature, science, or art) from the moment the work is created, on the condition that the work in question is an original work. As the author or creator, you determine what happens with your work. 

BUT... How do you protect your rights during creation? How can you prove that the credit for a Work is yours? How do you prove when a Work was (partially) created? 

We asked quite a few musicians/artists if they are able to prove that their 'Works' actually existed before it was released/published. If so, can they prove on which date it existed, and can they confidently demonstrate that the copy they have in their archive represents the version that existed at that time (read: has not been altered)? How do they do this for draft versions of their lyrics & music during the creation process? Until you actually publish your Work, it is not easy to prove that your Work existed, until now...

PS: This activity will also be used to help fund the mobile recording facility that we have. This recording facility is used to make high-quality recordings on location (e.g. choirs, church organ recitals, etc.). Due to COVID-19, we need to invest in more protective measures for the engineers and the performing artists.

"I’ll Rejoice" by David Dowdell: Finding Joy in God When Plans Fail

Can you praise God when nothing goes right? Empty vines. Failed crops. A barn with no animals. David Dowdell opens his song, “I’ll Rejoice”, with a list of losses that is so complete that it feels as if “there is nothing left at all.” David took his inspiration from the book of Habakkuk and wrote a defiant anthem of praise for anyone whose plans have fallen apart (… we’ve all had that happen to us, one way or another…). The song also asks the question most of us try to avoid: “What if I never get to live the life I wanted?” Will you still trust God when all you have left is “a tired and broken heart” ? "Holy Vessel" by Paul Scala: Your Body Is a Temple Worth Guarding

Your body is holy. Live like it. Paul Scala felt the Lord press on his heart to write about a struggle that touches almost everyone, but only a few people actually name it out loud. So he wrote “Holy Vessel” in the voice of God Himself. Not as a lecture. There’s no finger-pointing. Just a Father who is speaking to His children. Listen to how the song opens: “Son, please know that, you were bought with a great price.” Then the lyrics turn to the daughters: “I see you, not in shame but as My bride.” Shame has no seat at this table.
