CopyrightOffice.eu - A new service by the makers of ChristianDance.eu to help protect the copyrights of creators / authors

 

If you are an author / creator looking for ways to protect the copyrights of your designs / notes / work, even before it is completed & published, then CopyrightOffice.eu may be interesting for you. 

The team of ChristianDance.eu built a new service called CopyrightOffice.eu, in response to challenges faced by a number of artists that we work with.  

Many countries have a Copyright Act that automatically protects the copyright of works (e.g. literature, science, or art) from the moment the work is created, on the condition that the work in question is an original work. As the author or creator, you determine what happens with your work. 

BUT... How do you protect your rights during creation? How can you prove that the credit for a Work is yours? How do you prove when a Work was (partially) created? 

We asked quite a few musicians/artists if they are able to prove that their 'Works' actually existed before it was released/published. If so, can they prove on which date it existed, and can they confidently demonstrate that the copy they have in their archive represents the version that existed at that time (read: has not been altered)? How do they do this for draft versions of their lyrics & music during the creation process? Until you actually publish your Work, it is not easy to prove that your Work existed, until now...

PS: This activity will also be used to help fund the mobile recording facility that we have. This recording facility is used to make high-quality recordings on location (e.g. choirs, church organ recitals, etc.). Due to COVID-19, we need to invest in more protective measures for the engineers and the performing artists.

"Stand By Me" by Daniel Aranda: Finding Steadiness in Life's Storms

Who’s standing with you in the storm? “Stand By Me” by Daniel Aranda is an amazing rendition of a hymn written by Charles Albert Tindley in 1905. Tindley was the son of a former slave, a man who knew what it meant to need help that wasn’t guaranteed. He didn’t write from comfort. He wrote from the middle of a fight, and that’s exactly why the song is still so relevant and cherished by many today. Daniel Aranda’s recording brings gospel legends Terry Blackwood and Charlie McCoy into that same lineage, carrying Tindley’s plea forward into a new generation.  The lyrics move through life’s troubles, one verse at a time. “When the storms of life are raging, stand by me”  — that’s not poetic exaggeration. Tindley’s first verse is about a ship tossed on open water, powerless against the waves. "Returning - Live" by Victory House Worship: Waiting with Fire in Our Lamps

“Returning — Live” by Victory House Worship makes us aware that all of creation seems to hold its breath. “The earth is groaning for redemption, Creation reaches for Her King.” That’s the present-day reality that the apostle Paul described centuries ago, and Victory House Worship beautifully captures that in this song. The lyrics don’t dwell only on what Jesus already did at the cross; it looks forward. “The oil in our lamps is burning, For Him who was and is and is returning.” That line carries the whole weight of our Christian hope: Past, present, and future, all coming together in One.
