CopyrightOffice.eu - A new service by the makers of ChristianDance.eu to help protect the copyrights of creators / authors

 

If you are an author / creator looking for ways to protect the copyrights of your designs / notes / work, even before it is completed & published, then CopyrightOffice.eu may be interesting for you. 

The team of ChristianDance.eu built a new service called CopyrightOffice.eu, in response to challenges faced by a number of artists that we work with.  

Many countries have a Copyright Act that automatically protects the copyright of works (e.g. literature, science, or art) from the moment the work is created, on the condition that the work in question is an original work. As the author or creator, you determine what happens with your work. 

BUT... How do you protect your rights during creation? How can you prove that the credit for a Work is yours? How do you prove when a Work was (partially) created? 

We asked quite a few musicians/artists if they are able to prove that their 'Works' actually existed before it was released/published. If so, can they prove on which date it existed, and can they confidently demonstrate that the copy they have in their archive represents the version that existed at that time (read: has not been altered)? How do they do this for draft versions of their lyrics & music during the creation process? Until you actually publish your Work, it is not easy to prove that your Work existed, until now...

PS: This activity will also be used to help fund the mobile recording facility that we have. This recording facility is used to make high-quality recordings on location (e.g. choirs, church organ recitals, etc.). Due to COVID-19, we need to invest in more protective measures for the engineers and the performing artists.

"Just Believe" by For Him: When Doubt Isn't Disqualifying

Can you believe without having all the answers? Some people wait at the edge of faith for years, arms crossed, waiting to feel ready. “Just Believe” was written by For Him for exactly that person — the one who wants to trust Jesus but still carries a list of questions. The song grew out of that in-between space, where doubt and faith sit side-by-side and neither one of them wins outright. "I've Got Joy" by Tyler Philip Ratcliffe: Why Joy Isn't the Same as Happiness

Sorrow and joy can share the same room. “I’ve Got Joy” by Tyler Philip Ratcliffe was triggered by a telephone call. Tyler reconnected with an old friend who’d been going through a period of loneliness. Tyler shares: “We talked at length about the season of loneliness he was experiencing, and we discussed a few other topics that are reflected in the verses.” This triggered Tyler to tackle this concept of having Joy, and it became clear that “I’ve Got Joy” isn’t the same as “I’ve Got Happiness” . Joy is more than happiness, and it certainly isn’t a painted-on smile. Tyler makes that distinction on purpose, because he’s writing about the nights he spent “down to my last prayer,” and about sitting “in a room full of people” while feeling completely invisible.
