Amanda Blankenship has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Remnant.
The message is simple and clear: "God's remnant is rising!" They are gathering for kingdom purposes; calling out for Fresh Wind and Fresh Fire to Consume us! Lord, “make your messengers into winds of the Spirit, and all your ministers become flames of fire!” - Psalm 104:4
During a song review, we listen (often with our eyes closed) and feel what the song is doing for us. What emotion does the song evoke in us? Music and lyrics: How do they complement one another? This song is the perfect song to start your weekend with praise and joy!
Amanda created a song that evokes an urgency, an army on the move, a call and response... You can almost feel the Spirit of the Lord waking us up and consuming us. Music and lyrics work perfectly together. There's something magical about the drums, as if praise is roaring like thunder. Amanda's voice sounding above the drums to call people and let them know that God's remnant is on the rise! To experience that part of this song even better, I actually turned the volume up! 😀
I trust that you will enjoy the song as much as we did!
Lyrics:
VERSE 1
You’re calling Your people
From every corner
For such a time as this
We were made for this
VERSE 2
An army is rising
From every nation
In spirit and in truth
Your people on the move
CHORUS
Dry bones, come forth, hear the word of the Lord
Step out, into freedom, receive life once more
(Oh) Spirit come down
The remnant is on the rise
Dead dreams, awake, let hope be restored
Your breakthrough, is coming, like never before
Revival fall now
The remnant is on the rise
VERSE 3
Giants are falling
and praise roars like thunder
Love is breaking through
He’s making all things new
Fresh wind, fresh fire, Consume us, Lord
Fresh wind, fresh fire, Consume us, Lord
Fresh wind, fresh fire, Consume us Lord
Oh take us higher than we’ve been before
***Bridge: Fresh wind, fresh fire, Consume us, Lord
Fresh wind, fresh fire, Consume us, Lord
Fresh wind, fresh fire, Consume us Lord
Oh take us higher than we’ve been before
