Shawn Thomas - Don't Stop Believin' Worship Medley (Thomax Mashup) (CCM)

Shawn Thomas - Don't Stop Believin' Worship Medley (Thomax Mashup)
Shawn Thomas has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Don't Stop Believin' Worship Medley (Thomax Mashup).

From Shawn: "This might just be the most fun I've ever had recording a song. Takes me back to my junior high and high school days, and also back to some oldie-but-goodie worship songs. Journey's "Escape" album was the first cassette I bought with my own money. I can also remember being pulled around the roller skating rink by my junior high girlfriend while they blasted "Open Arms". (She could skate backwards and I couldn't - hence me being pulled around - ha!) Chris Tomlin's "Our God" is at the top of my all-time favorite praise/worship songs, so incorporating that song along with a few others into this mega-mashup was so much fun.
I came up with the idea of putting all these songs together and kind of changing the meaning of "Don't Stop Believin'" three or four years ago. I actually convinced our worship team at church to do the song on a Sunday morning. We didn't tell anyone about it and just put "Worship Medley" in the bulletin. It was so funny to look around the room as the intro started. You could see the thoughts going through folks' heads, like - "ya know, that sounds really familiar" - or - "what a minute, is that???"
I hope you enjoy this conglomeration of songs, and that it brings you to a place of worship as well."

Lyrics:

[Verse]
I could sing of Your love forever
I could sing of Your love forever
I could sing of Your love forever
I could sing of Your love

[Verse]
Forever God is faithful
Forever God is strong
Forever God is with us
Forever, forever

[Verse]
Our God is greater
Our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is healer
Awesome in power, our God, our God

[Verse]
Blessed be the name of the Lord (blessed be Your name)
Blessed be Your name (blessed be Your name)
Blessed be the name of the Lord (blessed the name)
Blessed be Your glorious name (blessed be Your glorious name)
Oh

[Verse]
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name, oh
You give and take away (blessed be the name of the Lord)
You give and take away (blessed be the name)
My heart will choose to say (blessed be the name of the Lord)
Goes on and on and on and on

[Verse]
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searchin' in the night
Streetlights people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night

[Verse]
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to that feelin'
Streetlights people, oh
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to that feelin'
Streetlights people, oh

[Verse]
Our God is greater
Our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is healer
Awesome in power, our God, our God, oh-h-h

[Verse]
Hold on to that feelin'
And don't stop believin'
Forever God is with us
Don't stop!

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"Oceans (Hillsong Cover)" by Tiffany Ford - Stepping into the Unknown with Faith

Life can at times feel like a stormy sea! Do you recognize that feeling? Tiffany Ford does, and Oceans by Hillsong is one of her 'go-to' songs for those rough times in life. She released a beautiful cover of Oceans, and shared how faith became her anchor when her life seemed so overwhelming. "Seemed" is the key word here, because in her moments of doubt and fear she discovered that God was meeting her exactly where she stood — by her side as she stood on shaky ground or in deep waters.  Oceans is a favorite for many readers, a song that describes the tension we feel between trust and uncertainty: "You call me out upon the waters / The great unknown where feet may fail." It's a beautiful invitation to step out of your comfort zone, even when it feels quite risky. With this cover, Tiffany is reminding us (and herself) that He is there when we get of our comfort zone. We can count on Him being there to guide us —  "Your sovereign hand will be my guide...

Brandon Lake - Praise You Anywhere (CCM)

'Praise You Anywhere' by Brandon Lake is a powerful anthem that encourages us to turn to praise in every season of life. No matter the circumstances we face, choosing to praise God will shift our perspective and ignite faith within us. The lyrics of the song remind us that in the midst of darkness, fire, and challenges, we can dance, sing, and praise God. We are called to worship even when it doesn't make sense and to boldly face the giants that stand before us. The song emphasizes the power of praising God in the highest, acknowledging His worthiness of all our praise. Brandon Lake's heartfelt message resonates with the reality that there are times when we find ourselves in prisons and battles. However, even in those moments, we can cry out to heaven, stand firm, and worship with our hands held high. The song encourages us to trust that God will bring us through, and in response, we will praise Him anywhere. The bridge of the song beautifully highlights God's faith...
