Lisa Waites - Through All Of Our Days (CCM)

Lisa Waites - Through All Of Our Days
Lisa Waites has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called Through All Of Our Days.

"Through All Of Our Days" is a contemporary worship hymn written by Lisa Waites in 2022. It was originally composed for Ash Wednesday services, but the lyrics work well throughout Lent, and also during times of human transition (Baptisms, Confirmations, Covenanting Services, and Funerals).

Lisa writes: "The lyrics are embedded into the video for ease of digital use in congregational settings. You are welcome to use this piece in your church or small group, but please consider making a donation to Servant Song Music & Ministry, or purchasing the sheet music (in Piano/Vocal/Guitar format) at Sheet Music Plus (www.sheetmusicplus.com), to help cover costs so that this musical work can continue.

Thank you, and may God use this simple hymn to bless and encourage you. Your life matters! You were created for a good purpose, and you are loved extravagantly and graciously by God through every single day of your life."

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
We have come from the dust and to dust we’re returning,
We’re formed out of starlight, we’re creatures of time –
We are made in your image, redeemed by your mercy,
By the pow’r of the Spirit, in Christ’s love we shine!

[Chorus]
We will dance, we will sing, give you praise, offering
Our hearts and our bodies, our souls and our minds;
We will laugh, we will cry, we’ll live and we’ll die,
From beginning to end, we’re surrounded by grace
And you love us through all of our days.

[Verse 2]
We will learn how to live as disciples of Jesus,
We’ll pray and we’ll study the truth of your Word –
We were born for your glory, baptized as your children,
We will follow the Spirit, and live what we’ve heard!

[Chorus]
We will dance, we will sing, give you praise, offering
Our hearts and our bodies, our souls and our minds;
We will laugh, we will cry, we’ll live and we’ll die,
From beginning to end, we’re surrounded by grace
And you love us through all of our days.

[Verse 3]
We have come from the dust, and to dust we’re returning,
We’re ashes from ashes, frail creatures of time –
Yet we’re made in God’s image, secure in your blessing,
By the pow’r of the Spirit, we’ll forever shine!

[Chorus]
We will dance, we will sing, give you praise, offering
Our hearts and our bodies, our souls and our minds;
We will laugh, we will cry, we’ll live and we’ll die,
From beginning to end, we’re surrounded by grace
And you love us through all of our days.

[Tag Ending]
Oh, you hold us, sustain us in grace -
Yes, you love us through all of our days.

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...
