VoxMusic - We Are Ready (CCM)

VoxMusic - We Are Ready
VoxMusic has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called We Are Ready.

As the believers in Acts 2 gathered together with expectation, an amazing move of God occurred. The story of the upper room being filled with the Holy Spirit sparked in us a hunger for more of God, a disruption to our plans, a wave of revival, and a thirst for more time with him. From this place, the song "We Are Ready" was born. It is a prayer and a statement from the community of believers, the Church, to see God move in our own hearts and in those around us. We hope that this wakes up a desire for the Holy Ghost that might have faded away and a stirring of faith that we serve a living and powerful God.

Lyrics:

Holy Ghost, comforter
You're closer than we think
Our present help, our advocate
Spirit of our God

Holy Ghost, powerful
We make space for You
Stir our hearts, light the flame
Just like the upper room

We are ready, we are ready
Come and do the impossible
We are ready, we are ready
Come and do the unthinkable

Holy Ghost, active one
Come breathe on Your church
Miracles breaking out
As we sing to You

Once an orphan, now I belong
I was so broken, but, now, I'm home
And, Holy Spirit, my heart's Your home
What a miracle I'm living in

Holy Ghost, comforter
You're closer than we think

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"Misunderstood" by Cory Asbury: Letting the Light In Through Vulnerability

Cory Asbury's 'Misunderstood' is a poignant ballad that reaches out to those grappling with anxiety, depression, and the weight of the future. With heartfelt lyrics and a soothing melody, this song offers solace and understanding to anyone feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges. The verses weave a narrative of resilience, reminding us that our struggles do not define us. The chorus confronts the notion of brokenness, acknowledging the universal experience of hiding pain and imperfections. Asbury's empathetic voice assures that being broken is a shared reality, not a personal failure. The final chorus, like a reassuring anthem, reinforces the understanding that no one is alone in their struggles. It acknowledges the societal tendency to bury vulnerability but emphasizes the importance of acknowledging pain and seeking support.
