Luke Garfield - Every Knee (CCM)

Luke Garfield has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'Every Knee'.

Every Knee is the fifth single from The Unseen album, a collection of songs about rebellion and restoration by Gold Coast songwriter and music producer Luke Garfield.

Garfield is a seasoned songwriter and producer who spent time in Nashville honing his skills recording other artists. He is continually writing and recording new material at Banana Llama Studios on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Luke Garfield - Every KneeEvery Knee is a song that Garfield wrote one sunny afternoon while his kids were playing in the backyard

“As a father of 4 children (now 5), your time is shared between a lot of important people. So time to write songs needs to be grabbed when you can,” he says.

“Songwriting isn’t always about waiting for the inspiration to strike. Sometimes you’ve just got to take what time you can get in the midst of the busyness of life and write.”

“Every Knee was a song like this and it came together over an hour or so one afternoon while my kids were playing around me in the backyard.” Garfield says.

“Thematically, the thrust of this song is found in its first two words, “It’s simple”. The Christian life and truths are inherently simple. A saving faith in Jesus should be as easy for a child to grasp hold of and believe as it should be for a theologian.

“At the same time Jesus, who he is and the victory he’s won, is incredibly deep theologically as well as having amazing cosmological implications. This song tries to capture both this simplicity as well as the depth.”, says Garfield.

Musically the song departs from the slower ballad-like sound of some of the previous songs on the album and lands squarely in a more upbeat, pop rock vibe.

Every Knee has been sung by Garfield’s local church for the last 8 years. He’s excited to finally have a version of the song to share with everyone.

"When I Saw The Light" by Tyler Philip Ratcliffe: Folk, Grace, and the Moment Everything Changes

“When I Saw The Light” captures something painfully familiar — the trap that routine can bring. Tyler Philip Ratcliffe wrote this folk anthem as a follow-up to “This Little Light of Mine,” drawing on his bluegrass roots and the spirit of Bill Monroe’s classic to tell a story many will recognize in themselves. The verses don’t sugarcoat it. “Same faces, same mistakes, same places // Promise that I change it all tomorrow”  — the trap we need to be aware of… The routine masquerading as life. But Ratcliffe doesn’t leave the listener there. The chorus lifts everything: “I traded fake for something honest // Finally doing something right.” That’s the turning point! What makes this song land is its honesty about the moment before a breakthrough. When numbness sets in, when you’ve exhausted every other option — that’s when the light (His light) breaks through. Ratcliffe captures the surprise of grace: “I wasn’t looking for religion // Wasn’t searching for the truth.” Nobody ever is. And ye...

"Hard Times" by Matt Rees: Finding Faithful Ground When Life Comes Apart

Hard times have a way of stripping everything back. Matt Rees knows this well — and "Hard Times" was came out of one of those seasons. The Michigan-based singer-songwriter has spent years writing music that builds up the church and glorifies God, and this song carries that same honest, unpolished faith. What makes it remarkable is the posture Rees takes. Rather than crying out from the pain, he's thanking God for it. "I thank You for the hard times // when You test what's in the depths of my heart." That's not wishful thinking… That's hard-won conviction coming from the slow & dark times, and the confusing times when everything comes apart at the seams. Rees names them all, and then he names what happens next: God shows up! The chorus wraps it together…. "This life ain't always easy // but You're always faithful and true." Simple, true, and more important…. it's enough! Because when you've lived through the kind of sea...

"Vine" by Oludee: Fruitfulness Through Surrender

(by Jasper Tan) "Vine" by Oludee is a very beautiful, soulful song that talks about trust, surrender, and putting our Faith in God. What makes this song so beautiful is the musical choice that Oludee chose to produce with the given theme. It's easy listening and soulful, which can be a good song to listen to during our moments of devotion and personal worship with God. The opening lines of the song quickly establish the message that we can't just rely on ourselves in our day-to-day living, but it is important that we learn to recognize God in our lives. By putting our complete trust and faith in Him, we would be able to navigate life's challenges more easily, as we would be experiencing more stability. To know and understand that God is with us, we would not succumb to our hopelessness because we understand that God will always carry us during our times of need. Using Vine as a metaphor, it serves as a symbol of life, nourishment, and protection. This recurring re...
